hey guys

someone shared this on the f800 forums so i thought i'd share it here.

bought a crampbuster few months ago and it was ok... gets in the way sometimes and taking it on and off was a pain.

then got a link for this site and picked up one of these throttle control things

http://www.2wheelride.com/throttle_pro.html

really simple design and it works like a charm on my bike. like it a whole lot more than the regular crampbusters/cruise control devices.

here's also a review i guess on it: http://www.ultimatemotorcycling.com/motorcycle-go-cruise-throttle-control

thought i'd share this neato find with those interested as a search for it didnt pull any of it up here.

apologies if this is a repost.

wow I really like that! better that a throttle rocker

yeah that's the one i had. when i took it on and off, took a little chunk of rubber grip with it :( poo.

That's a clever gadget. I wonder how soon it'd wear a groove in the grip, though.

Crick,

Get it and tell us how good it works.

Nice. Thnx for the heads up. Might have to buy one for the TX slab ride.

Hmm, I'm riding to Colorado in two weeks and this might be useful. Maybe I'll pick one up.

What's this "desired speed" they speak of?

I'm not at an un-changing throttle position.

There is always something. Grade of the road rising or falling, traffic pattern changing, something.

And...not having a problem to fix...is something as well.

What's this "desired speed" BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Also you can prolly make one out of one of these and some rubber bands lol

The cramp buster adjusted right, is the perfect amount of control and comfort, in my book.

Crick,

works great. had it at cruising speeds of 80. hills of course problematic since it's just keeping the throttle in one position. have yet to really take it on a 6 hr slab on the 5 down to LA... will eventually.

Does not interfere with brake controls whatsoever. To move it away from position just requires u to close the throttle yourself which was zero effort. Uses friction of the rubber grip to keep it in place.

Good question about wearing out the grip. i'm glad that the profile is narrow tho, and unobtrusive. it was easy to put on, seems to be made out of plastic.

but yeah, was one of those "welp, i guess i'll drop 20 bux and try it out cuz i dont like my current setup - hope i like it" kinda impulse buy and so far, glad i did.

Like it .........thanks.

Don't need it on the h.d. because I can lock the throttle w/ the stock set up. 1/8th turn of the screw by my thumb.:thumbup Also w/ all the torque the speed does not vary much w/ gradual hills.

Think I will try this w/ the kawk though. On the TL1000 I would just stick a book of matches between the grip and the cable housing. Later I hung a loop of rubber cord around the same area and just gave it a tug to lock the throttle. Like this thing.

Best Idea I've seen-it can also double as an aid to picking up road kill without getting your fingers or gloves contaminated. I'm sure that it would have other uses also, a true cramp-buster/road kill pickerupper multi tool.

Some of us occasionally have to slab through the desert. You can go for hours without needing to adjust speed. However, going for hours without needing to scratch your right butt cheek is not as rare.

Seems like a novel idea.

Then I looked at their other product and laughed at the demonstration photo. They mention safety and then threw her on a bike with no gear. :dunno

Passenger safety handles?

"Baby, you don't need a jacket and gloves, just hang on to my love handles and you'll be alright. But when I double tap..." :laughing
