My Dilemma: I have been trying to get time off all month for a 4-day NorCal loop (Quincy, Lassen, Shasta, Yreka, Fortuna via 70, 89,3, 36 etc.) Only Sunday I can get off is next one though.

I will probably be getting a lateish start as I work late the night before. I was thinking 11:00 or noon. My plan was to go 101 to Santa Rosa, then cut over to Calistoga and take 29/20 to Oroville.

This route takes me right past Petaluma, probably just as things are getting started. It wouldn't be right not to stop by!

Still, there is the thought that making the first stop of a 1100+ mile trip only 45 miles from home isn't getting off on the right foot. Add beer to the mix and things can get really dicey!

I'd really like to hang for a while, but I think the thing to do is just pop in and say hi and bye.

Well, maybe one beer...
