Here's my Mutt hawk:

MODS
-Most obvious mod is the red (supposedly matched to factory red), RC30 fairing kit, which was on the bike when I bought it in Sept of '01. This called for relocating the bars, under the triple and re-wiring the front to accept dual headlights.
-Custom relayed wiring harness. Excellent mod. Lighting is now so much better!
-Custom SuperTrap/MVR/D&D hack job exhaust
-Stage I jetted, I believe.
-F4 Front end with custom guage braket
-Sigma BC-800 speedo/computer. I lost my speedo drive with the F4 front end conversion, so was forced to use one of these.
-Newer (squarish), VFR rear wheel conversion.

um... I getting a hawk this friday!
I've got a complete F4 front end to put on it and it's already got a penske shock.
Anyone have any ideas for an instrument cluster since the F4 front doesn't have a mount?
does anyone have suggestions for a current-manufacture bike that's a decent "replacement" for a Hawk?
Aww, nobody gushed over my SPS.
Anyways, I didn't have any instruments except the idiot lights and a bicycle computer taped to the triple on the F4 front end.
Be REALLY careful with the way you do the bearings on that F4 front end, mine was done wrong as I was a major noob, and it totally ovalled the headstock.
Getting the stock instrumentation and headlight back on with an F4 front end is going to be a headache. I would recommend tapping the top triple, and making a mount for a basic mychron out of aluminum.
so I decided to have some fun with it. It has a ways to go but should be a pretty cool ride when finished.
