What kind of subframe is that?

I fabbed the subframe out of thinwall stainless tubing.

looks way cool -

keep it single disc

+1 on the SM cockpit -
what're clox & headlite gonna be?

remounting the rad underseat?

The single disc works better than I thought it would. Im using a pump from a quad.

Right now I have an endurance computer for the speedo. I think down the road I'm gonna use a gps device. Not gonna use a tach or anything else. Maybe just an idiot light.

I have two paths I may go with the headlight. One is just a classic style large round headlight, the other is a skull that I would mount a headlight in. The skull is a harbor freight welding hood that I mounted on there for shits and giggles..... it looks pretty freaky on there. The round headlight would look much classier though.

The plan is to just fill in the the subframe with aluminum or painted plexiglass panels. Rear fender is gonna be a harley blank fender that I will custom cut.

I love when this thread gets revived

Hawks will never die!!

I'll post up some more pics.

ah ha, I just noticed the suicide shifter! you are nuts, in a good way.

Has anyone ever installed an undertale exhaust system on the Hawk? I have an 88 Hawk and I'm not sure what to do with the exhaust.

how will ya work the cluch & shifter at same time....?"

excellent packaging on the subframe

I think that skull is superb - please keep it

um... I getting a hawk this friday!

I've got a complete F4 front end to put on it and it's already got a penske shock.

Anyone have any ideas for an instrument cluster since the F4 front doesn't have a mount?

this is a 929 fronter.. im not sure if this applies but see where the bolts of the top clamp holds the fork tubes? there is a narrow piece of aluminum there that is bolted then twisted to mate with the stock gauge cluster...

The shifter works best for clutchless upshifts..... it's more of a novelty than anything. The normal shifter still works but it's pretty fun to do the upshifts with the suicide shift.

haha yah the skull is crazy it looks even better in person. I have a couple projector lights that will look like eyeballs, it's gonna take some creativity to make it look right though.

Some of you guys may want to kill me....... this is what the bike looked like a couple years ago after I brought it back from the dead to race it.

kill you? no way man, you took your former heavily modded and pretty track/race bike, that was no longer competitive against the sv power plant, and made it personal. had you taken a pristine stocker and done that, than yes, only because there are so few pristine stock examples left.

I say good on ya and keep up the good work, keep having fun and being inspiration to the rest of us or at least me:teeth

with all that said, damn your race bike WAS nice.

keep the pics coming.

those projectors keep getting smaller -

Wed's EXIF site post was a moto sporting mini-beams that might work for you [neglect their pod location, dunno about that.....] -

I've been doing some work on the wife's hawk.

F4 front end with a Koso RX1N gauge.

I have a question for any hawk gurus... how can I get the Koso temp wiring to work with the stock temp wiring? I've got it wired and it reads about 168 deg too high. :confused
