Anyone need to spend $50 at Guns, Fishing and Other Stuff? New Dublin store and one in Vacaville. Got a $50 gift card but they don't sell casting equipment, my nest purchase.

Straight trade? I'll include 5 rds of 00 buckshot :teeth

Can be used for the indoor range.

I have decoder ring will you trade for that?

You better do some damn good research on casting before going all in bud.

Spend some time on http://castboolits.gunloads.com and read a lot of the noob threads.

Totally. Spent last month figuring if it's worth it. 1,000 147gr 30cal fmj non pulled bullet tops are $185 shipped and is 21 pounds so around $8 per pound. Lead is around $1.5 per pound if I mix linotype, much cheaper, even cheaper if I can find free lead. I'll have to size and might powder coat with a cheap toaster oven so I don't have to gas check. If I really get into I can sell my bear creek 9mm supply and cover my costs in equipment to do handgun.

Ordered the lee 4 20 bottom pour last night. Debating already made ingots so I don't have smelt and make my own. It all sounds fun, we'll see.

Order 50# of ingots from any cast boolit seller to start. Tumble lubeing is the easiest to start with for slow handgun rds.

Worry about smelting in a year and that is only worth it if you can get free lead.

Read the trials of people trying to powder coat and or pan lube and you'll think twice about that particular road.

Lastly, i cast 40 and 45 for a few years when i could get lead for free and my final cost per finished rd was about 4 or 5 cents a rd, not including the propane used to smelt lead.

When i had to factor in the cost of buying lead, it just wasn't worth the time and effort anymore.

What's the over/under on how many new hobbies teh Dubbs has acquired in the last year?
truly comical. the kid had got his hand in every cookie jar on the kitchen counter. I have a feeling Roman only entertains his nonsense because he spends a ton of money in his store. I can't imagine all the silly questions he must barrage Roman with whenever he gets a hold of him... lol

Aaaand this is a problem for you? Dubbs is a nice guy who has the opportunity to try things. You jelly?

I gotta agree with the previous posters, I fail to see why having an interest in multiple things and trying new hobbies is the least bit comical. Variety is good, sounds fun.

It's an observation, calm down no one is trying to bully teh Dubbs. He's a big boy. I just find his howdy doody persona, trials and tribulations, and many quirks interesting and funny.

I'll do the math for sure. My time I don't factor in, if Im saving $$ and making something I'm good. 30 cal bullets are expensive to I'm sure I'll be saving.

It's nice to be able to afford hobbies. :teeth

Saw Lester's quoted comment as I have him on ignore.

My work is pretty black and white and doesnt attack my creative side. Outside of work I need to make stuff and produce a product (woodworking, guns, diy etc). Single dude in my 30s, I got plenty of time on my hands....no pun intended. :p I am flattered he pays so much attention, maybe I should give him my instagram. :teeth

My goal for 2014 was to not purchase a single weapon. Well, I failed miserable. My goal for 2015 is to do the same. I think I'll make it this year!

I bought a single gun in 2014. Actually, I bought two single guns. A Winchester 67 and an old Savage single 20 gauge. I also got a couple doubles and more than a few repeating arms.
We'll see how '15 goes.
