BARF Rallies 2021

OK, will be flying in and not driving my little Miata. Sounds like scary fun!

My better half is working on earning his pilot's license while living in France and Germany. He will either purchase or rent a plane and promised to fly us in to whatever airport is out there.
I personally find myself frightened by existential anxiety imagining being in the air in such a small plane.

It'll be an adventure for sure!
 
There is an airport just north of town on HWY 3 called Lonnnie Pool Field Airport-O54. We'll have to arrange a shuttle for you from someone who drives to the meet. I doubt there's too many Ubers running around. :laughing

Be careful if it is wildfire season. A friend of mine couldn't land in the Sierras because the smoke/fog was so thick he couldn't see the ground anymore, so he had to turn around and hope not to run out of fuel. Of course he didn't see the mountains either so had to stay high.

You don't "hope" to not run out of fuel, you plan to not run out of fuel.

I think it's awesome you'll be flying in!!! I imagine T's risk management skills will make for a very safe and magical flight. I'm probably going to van it with a dual sport, not sure what the time will permit so have not made a reservation.
