BARF Rallies 2021

Sounds Like a plan but I am determined to make it even if I have to go slow as fuck and take my time; I want to do it for my own accomplishment. IDK if that is weird to say. but I feel like if I truck it up there that's half of the fun and excitement to be able to not only enjoy the group ride when you are there but to share your experience of riding up there as well.
:thumbup
I completely understand. :)
Yep

Amazing community!

I swear I was expecting to wake up to be like your a idiot noob just take the free ride or some shit! ahahah IDK i really want to do this with my own ability so I can become a better rider.

Thumper and TwoWheelTramp If I see you guys on the road lets ride till there are no more road! Wait then there is DIRT!!!! LOL

Gravel and dirt are comm fort zones. As it gets closer we’ll exchange numbers.

G, I think you're offering Meerkat a ride to Weaverville and he's talking about going to VC. At least that is how I read this.

Nope it’s Weaverville aka “HOHO Rally.”

Oh shit! that was planned for Virginia City. That Weaverville trip seems way harder! I definitely have to consider that one more.

The weaverville also happens to be a 5 Hour trip which I do no think I could do in one day because I am super uncomfortable riding at night!

His reply here made me think there was some confusion.

Is it a problem? I don’t think so.

I'm taking two weeks off work after Weaverville. Going to take it easy and criss cross the mountains between OR and California over to Cedarville for the dual sport rally.

:x

this was my plan, but just don’t think I’m going to be able to swing the time off. :laughing:thumbup

oh well ... my two fav rallies, official again at last! :ride

See if you can. I'll be doing some day loops out of the casa de cootz. You're welcome to stay in one of the guest rooms.

oooh ... casa de cootz guest roomz ... there’s f-it-take-two-weeks temptation for me. :laughing:ride

you know me, if there’s any way, I probably will. :toothless:facepalm

Free food, free lodging and you can even shower. There's enough room you can get the needed hermit time, too. :D

Not so Noob

Hey Guyz & Galz,

PrinceMeerkat and I went for a little ride today. A couple of hours, 40-something miles in the Eastbay hills. :ride

Here's the thing: PrinceMK is not really a newbie. His bike is a new (to him) recent model R3 and his gear is new. But he has experience on dirt bike motos and elsewise. So riding in our typically congested streets and traffic is new to him.

So he's got your basics down: shifting, braking, turning, etc. No problems there. He seems to have good skills. :)

Street riding in Bay Area traffic and our group rides are a whole other thing. Especially since he hasn't had much moto time in a long while. But our route was varied: city streets, rural easy 2 laners, some moderately twisty hills, and freeway and he's handling it all well. Mind you, I was watching in my mirrors the whole time. :rolleyes

PMK is making up time and miles quickly. He is intent on learning and getting more saddle time/miles. Getting a lot of miles with rubber to the road now. He is a sponge, and very focused on learning street and group riding. 👍

I'm very impressed with his energy, ambition, and focus. I truly enjoyed meeting, getting to know him a bit, and riding with him. He's an interesting, very friendly guy. And our ride was bookended with telephone job interviews!

Welcome, PrinceMeerkat!
