BARF RALLY's 2025!.... Reservations open!

Hey Budman, et al,

What's the average attendance at BARF Rally's, say in the last 10-12 years? Excluding Covid years.
Two categories:
1) Camping (like Stoneyford)
2) Motels (like Hawthorne)

Question: Any interest in a Songdog Rally late summer / fall or maybe next Spring?
I'd classify this more of a "Camping Rally" up on the mesa.

There have been threats of a Songdog event. One year we had a Paso Rally and Inwas able to sell the idea of Songdog to some Barfers. such a stunning place. I’d say late Spring, bomb down and ride north through the wild flowers. I know that Jim will allow us to use the lodge.

If someone else wants to take the lead I will support it. I cannot. Life is furious at the moment and I am over committed already.

Well, it’s a good side trip to tack onto Taft.

Hi Ms. X,
Not sure if Jim rebuilt a "lodge" up on the mesa since the fire. We called it the bale house because of it's construction. It's been a handful of years since I've been down there. I believe there are still 3 - 4 patio covers with tables campsites, plus other campsites up there. I know the Water Tank is a pretty cool "cottage". I think it sleeps 4-6 people, not sure if the yurt is still up. There's some RV spots and one or two trailers down below that are also available for lodging.

I was just wanting to see what kind of interest there was for a Rally then talk with him versus going through "hipcamp".

There isn’t anOHV per se. but trails all over the place around Hawthorne.
Yes, that's what I meant. I just wrote ohv to hint that I'd rather take the YZ. Hell, I'd even consider hauling it to Kernville if I knew some trails there

I'll be looking into it, but if anyone knows a good resource I'm all ears...as long as I remember to keep checking back here. Seems I only hop on barf to check on rallies now

I’m waiting for my bike to arrive but let’s figure this one I out.

I will do these as I can this year, waiting to see if I get a jerb or not before committing to anything however

okay, so is there forum for the May rally already ? i did not see registration being opened yet either 🤷

Sorry ya’ll.

We are having Xenforo issues and have not been able to get a private forum to work.

Insyder does not know. Enchanter has tried many options and since I am not a tech bro I am pretty useless.

I have failed on Eventzilla too just to confirm my tech bro status. :facepalm

I am going to join the axe for forum to see if I can get some help there.

Not sure why my life juju is sucking so bad but I must have done something wrong. 😑

How about just a regular open forum in the Group Rides forum in the interim. We can not discuss official routes and the like but things like general merrymaking and coordinating who's rooming with who and what not can happen in full view of @johnnylaw, right?

Enchanter figured it out.

Private forum going up next week. Figure Tuesday
I am giving up on Eventzilla :afm199 ...and will just email you a waiver that you can sign and I will give you access and you can send back when time allows. Before the ride though! .

So go ahead and PM me your email and I will send that next week.

Life is busy and stressful this will be a nice retreat! :ride

Private forum is up.
I have started letting those that said room booked in. :Port
