Barf Slow Your Roll" Lane Splitting Campaign

Maybe I'm not steeped enough in moto lore, but Slow Your Roll (or role) is cryptic to me. I prefer plain English to jargon. And symbols can sometimes speak better than words (if they're not cryptic :))

After reading these posts what will you think when you see a "Slow Your Roll" sign, now that you know what it means? :teeth

I can't get these symbols show correctly, but....

(up arrow) (Greek sign for delta) = R. I. P.

This would be for bikers. I really like the above signs for cagers.

Well I will be damned.

Delta down then. Cue Helen Reddy Music.

Don't know about Helen, but Barry White has my vote for our Slow Your Roll campaign.

give me some slack, get back....ain't nothing but a ride.....easy, cruise and groove....

I really don't want a slogan to be "Show Your Roll".

I like "Delta Down".

Well "Slow Your Roll" seems to be universal, so I still think it's appropriate; "Delta Down" works for me as well.

Slow Your Roll has an 'urban' feel; Delta Down sounds military, so does 15-Delta. How about "No More than 15" or "15 and under"

Hmm...that might get us in trouble. :nchantr

Just speaking as one old guy, Delta Down is less intuitive to me than Slow Your Roll. :dunno It seems like it requires knows what you mean by "delta", and how it applies to lane splitting. Slow Your Roll is kind of like Cool Your Jets.

Chill before you spill. :p

I wanted to say this earlier. The term "delta" as it applies to lanesharing is not known outside of BARF. It isn't a suitable term of reference for PR purposes.

"Slow the fuck down" is. :laughing

As long as the phrase is understandable and memorable I guess it doesn't much matter. Even I know what Slow your Roll means now :). I do think the triangle is a good visual and will be learned and associated if it gets out there.

As do I. :) I don't know that most drivers will understand what is meant by "Slow Your Roll."

Not only wouldn't a driver understand... But if they read that on something being worn by a motorcycle rider...
They would tend to think Who You talkin too ? Slow your own roll Willis.

Exactly! Drivers don't need to know and that's the point.

The "Sharing is Caring" is for the 4-wheeled variety.

BTW - who's this sign for Lou?

See my point?

If ya need a catchy phrase....try this

"We watch out for you, please watch out for us"

This should be on the side of the milk trucks.

Simple and to the point...

:thumbup simple is better ... I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know what the delta meant at first. It's quite likely the unwashed masses we deal with on the regular may not as well. :)

Interesting, mrsharky. That one reminds me of signs on the backs of trucks that say things like "If this driver is not being courteous, please call 1-800-some-number."
