Next-gen consoles will likely be rolling out at the end of this year
We'll see.Dude, they copied the classes, loadout, equipment, spawn system, etc. They even copied the look of the graphics when doing all this stuff. Also copied objectives. But no vehicles and third person..Is it really that close to Battlefield? It's 3rd person with no vehicles(?). Doesn't really scream BF3 to me.
The cover system is kinda cool. Never played Gears of War, but I remember it from Rainbow Six Vegas.
Here we go....the heat is here again for the year...will the Xbox be able to make it through one last summer of torture? Next-gen consoles will likely be rolling out at the end of this year, so I really don't want to go have to replace a 360 at this point...just one more summer...come on baby...
If I can make it through this summer and into next year when the new consoles drop, I will have only bought one Xbox 360 during it's life-cycle, (having it repaired under warranty twice for free,) an achievement when you hear about kids who've gone through 4-5.

All these breaking Xboxs, and the fanboys still rave about how much better they are than PS3....
Just popping my head in...I'll be leaving now.

Once again, not a hardware comparison thread, but thanks for your usefull input. Goodbye.

got one anyway

So Shades, you must know since have have a shitload of BF3 playtime.
First off...how the fuck do the guided rockets work with the helicopter? They seem pretty straight shooting to me. Does a target have to be painted with a SOFLAM for them to actually be smart rockets? Sucks that I have to take the laser painter off in order to equip the guided rockets.
And have you used the M26 dart? I see that used a lot in the killfeed. So I looked it up. So if you have an assault rifle specifically with the combo of underslung rail and the heavy barrel with the M26 dart, it has stupid long range. Kinda like the ridiculous range of the undermount shotty in MW2.

Got a set of Turtle Beach X-41's for free yesterday. Sweetness.
Ok, so to hell with the guided rockets. Don't know why it was almost the last unlock if it's pretty much useless.
Haven't fooled with the tv missle yet. Guess that's a good alternative if the pilot doesn't run a painter.
If they took AA batteries, it wouldn't be a problem but they are AAA. I have a hookup for AA. I used to have a pair of x-4's and I liked them. Sound quality is better in te x-41 and they don't need line of sight like the x-4's did.Two words for you...rechargeable batteries. Those blow through AAs like a fat man at a buffet.
My Turtles go for about 6-8 hours before they shut off because of low battery. I tried those fancy li-po Energizer Advanced AAs and they maybe went a couple more hours than standard alkaline...not worth the money.
Of course ni-cad rechargables don't last very long. But unless you've got a free battery hookup, you'll maybe burn at least $20 a year just feeding alkalines to those Turtles.
