Hola
Can't get into it. Even if I had the best gaming PC evar, it still looks like awful 8bit graphics.
I can totally see myself getting into trying to build the sickest house/castle of all time. But not with those graphics. Not to mention that I don't kill spiders with some pick ax...I use fire. And I've seen some people burn their whole damn world down playing with fire in that game.
I never played the game either, until my cousin sold me on it about two weeks ago, "Just download the demo!"
Hooked. $20 later.
- I blew away my little cousin and his friends with the Redstone circuitry in that game...now that alone makes the game worth it for me...It was the equivalent of Homo sapien meeting up with a pack of Homo erectus...
"Here - with this we can create circuits - electricity, machines....." Them:

They never got into it really beside the occasional mineart railway or something, which tends to get boring/old quickly; while redstone circuitry seems to have nearly limitless possibilites.....
I built a passcode/passlock door in his world....(XOR gate if I remember correctly...?) you have to flip a certain combo of switches in order for his door to open - all enclosed in Obsidian, no way to break in quickly to cheat. We all got a kick out of it, until his buddy 'camped' and watched him enter the combo....
Now, the challenge has been laid to make a circuit where he has a button in his house that closes the door, resetting the switches after the combo is entered....
To the other end of the spectrum...... (This is what made it worth it to me....I actually realized/understood finally how exactly computers work, via logic gates, albeit very simplified and dumbed down for the game, it planted a seed of research, discovery, and an insatiable desire to tinker with these circuits and it makes me want to order one of those kiddie sets where you can program your own mini-computer...
)A real, working, functioning, programmable fucking computer.....
