Borderlands 2

Take a lesson from me. If you want to actually max out your character, and collect all those Legendary and Red Text items at Level 50, do not finish any side missions in playthrough 2 (aka True Vault Hunter Mode).

Once you finish the game (beat the Warrior) the 2nd time, everything in the game scales up to Level 50, including quest rewards. So those crappy Level 32 Red Text items you got in playthrough 2 could actually be awesome Level 50 items.

Ideally you just want to power through your second playthrough by doing main story missions only. Leave all the side quests until after you beat the Warrior.

I was under the impression that after you beat the Warrior the second time you could start over again and everything will be at Level 50. This is apparently not the case. Thanks Gearbox for making this abundantly clear from the get go. :|

Adding to the above.

I beat the Warrior for the second time last night. With Zero spec'ed for melee it turned out to be an impossible fight. Respawned a couple dozen times before I called in a buddy to help me out.

There is currently a bug affecting clients who finish the game in TVHM in somebody else's game. Everybody is in "Playthrough 2.5" but only the host gets the credit and everything in his game ramps up to Level 50. The other guys are in PT2.5 but the game doesn't scale to 50 which leaves them in limbo.

So I had my friend come in, beat the Warrior with me, but he jumped out of my game before I progressed the mission. This way his game progression remains the same, I just have to repay the favor later.

Everything in my game scaled up to Level 50, with the exception of quests that I had already picked up but hadn't finished. Only the "Undiscovered" quests ramped up to Level 50. My advice is to stay away from all the exclamation marks to avoid starting side quests while in PT2 (TVHM) mode.

But those side quests do get some XP. So if I ignore all the side quests, will my character be at a high enough level after play through 2 that I'll be able to deal with every bad guy at level 50 in play through 2.5?

I should clarify that this only matters if you want equipment rewards that are Level 50. So you can take on those quests that only reward XP, money, skins, eridium. I'd still stay away from the exclamation marks though because I don't think you can tell if they give equipment rewards without accepting the mission.

I stopped taking side quests just after Sanctuary went airborne and leveled up to 50 well before I even took on the Bunker. I do have a tendency to kill everything in the map though so I probably XP farm more than most folks.

It seems like a small group of people were effected. I am updating my video drivers right now. I didn't make any changes between Saturday and Monday. I am thinking they put out some sort of patch. I am running older nvidia drivers so maybe the patch isn't playing well with the older drivers.
You can see the lines coming out of the gun like spikes in this pic

In this one the nomad is just a black shadow and his colored textures are holding on like a pack pack.

updated the drivers and it still have the same issues

You can see the colored textures a couple feet behind the black figure that shoudl be a nomad

After some testing it looks like my video card is on its way out.

There goes 340 for a new card. I'll be replacing the GTX 560 TI 2gb with a GTX 660 ti 3gb version

Farmed the Warrior last night. Killed it maybe a dozen times, most of it solo, only died once.

Picked up a bunch of purple guns and class mods and relics, but only got one Legendary orange gun (the Pele sniper).

Took a dozen runs at Hunter Hellquist too but couldn't get it to drop the Bee shield.

:wow I want that gun.

Omg that is just deadly. So what else does it do? A lot of those gun with the red text/legendary guns do some crazy shit that you only find out about when you shoot them (ie the CC shotgun shoots out X shots....but those split into more shots).

The Pele sniper spreads fire damage to nearby enemies. Light one guy on fire and you soon have a cluster of bad guys on fire.

It's actually one of my weaker sniper rifles if it wasn't for the fire damage. I have a 25000 damage conventional sniper rifle with +120% critical damage. Combine that with an amp shield, sniper class mod, and all of Zero's sniper skills, I was dealing 260k critical damage. And that's still not enough to one-shot kill most of the bad guys in PT2.5. :laughing

its going to be about a week before I can play BL2 again. I need to wait for my new video card to arrive in the mail.

Codes are up. FYI the Facebook and Twitter codes from Gearbox are different so the 5 codes this weekend are actually good for 10 keys.

That sounds outstanding. I beat the Warrior a while back with Shades for my first play. And it dropped the orange sniper (which I can only assume was the Pele), but the fucker fell on top of it. I couldn't pick it up. :(

good thing I'm playing on PC. I do miss the old barftron multiplayer days. I can't let the new pc I built go to waste.
