BARFTRON HOMEBASE

borderlands people keep your eyes out for shift codes today. They will be releasing codes for holloween costumes.
 
So I finally beat the DLC for Borderlands. The Leviathan is kinda tough doing it solo. But now there's a mission I can take to go face "Hyperius the Invincible" or something like that. It's a level 50 mission, and my Mechromancer is only a 19 right now so I won't be pulling the trigger on that one anytime soon.

Anyone tried that one? What's the loot that comes from it? I got a legendary pistol off the leviathan that does all kinds of shock damage and shocks other bad guys nearby too.
 
We just beat the DLC last night. Three of us (Level 50s) are taking on Master Gee and Hyperius tonight. I heard both fights are pretty much impossible solo.

Both Master Gee and Hyperius can drop any Seraph weapon, but they also drop Seraph crystals so you can buy Seraph weapons.
 
Oh whoops. Totally forgot that there is those seraph crystal stuff. Never came across thatin the story mission. But I pretty much skipped all the side missions in the DLC.

Perhaps I shall go back to Oasis and poke around some more.
 
Hyperius the Invincible lived up to his name. Tried beating him with a Level 50 Assassin and a Level 50 Commando (TVHM mode). 5 times we tried, no success. We brought in a Level 45 Mechromancer, tried it 3 more times. No good. Finally we called in a Level 50 Siren with Harmony tree specialty, beat him our second try. I'm pretty much convinced the fight is impossible without a Siren in your team.
 
I need to hit 50 already. I'm 46 right now, being a mechromancer I am not as strong as I thought it would be.

I've heard the same goes for Master Gee. Gotta have a Siren doing that revive from a distance thing or it's impossible.

Wow in one night? That's some major grinding. I'm sitting at 42 and played for a whole hour (the Slab King mission) and barely budged the XP bar halfway. But maybe i missed out on a lot of XP because I just hung out at the top of the room, didn't drop down, shot the head off a Goliath and let him just kill everyone in the room down there. :laughing

Find two level 50s, start a true vault hunter mode game and have them kill terramorphious over and over for you :cool
 
I tried to jump in Scorp's game the other day and it kept giving me this "cannot connect to host" bullshit.

Two guys copied all their weapons for us too. Shades and I stacked with a vault and back pack full of level 50 orange and pink weapons

You actually get a lot of XP that way, BUT, YOU have to kill the Goliath in the end. Every time a Goliath kills an enemy he gains triple the XP of that enemy. So what was a 100XP bandit is now 300XP, add up all the other enemies the Goliath kills and you can end up with a good chunk of XP, but you have to kill the Goliath yourself. If another enemy kills the Goliath all that stored XP goes nowhere.
 
I went back into the Leviathan's Lair Treasure Room 5x last night, only found one Legendary item (Quasar grenade).

cant wait to use these lvl 50 orange weapons. its takin most of my slots , the vault bank and clap traps locker. ill be home at 7ish.
thanks to the guys that are lvl 50 killing terramorphous and handing out the orange guns. from an angle it looked like he was pissing out orange guns. lol

apparently everyone at school was outraged that we have class on election night. They didn't cancel class, but cut them all short so people could get home to watch the results, so I'll see you on at 8:30? :laughing

Oh I killed him. He was a "GOD-liath" at that point and had only 1/3 of his health left. I helped keep him alive and sniped some of the midgets surrounding him. But he was worth about 4500 XP when he went down. And I got the "meet David" achievement for letting a Goliath level all the way up.
