BARFTRON HOMEBASE

Spawn trap has been a thing in COD forever. Even in Battlefield with the huge ass maps you can spawn trap.

But it's only certain game modes. Don't like the spawn trap thing? There's always TDM or KC.

Edit: I say this all like I do it all the time. But I've been trapped probably as many times as I've been on the team that was raping. Gotta get a full party. And not 4 + 2 Xmas noob randoms, but a full crew of average or better players.

When the FUCK is hardcore Dom coming out?!!! I really hate how NONE of the COD makers have put in a simple toggle for hardcore mode. Is it really that hard to just make it an option instead of a gimped game mode with only a few different game types? Something like:

Public match > Hit [] (or X for you 360 fans) to bring up search options like "best connection" > Hardcore ON > search for game type - TDM/DOM/etc.
 
I can't deal with ground war anymore. There's always at least one or two in the lobby who are like two time zones away from everyone else. And the lag compensation pretty much bones everybody.


This morning I blew the dust off my MW2 disc and played that for a bit. I've either gotten a lot better at COD since I started, or nobody plays that except clueless scrubs and wannabe pro quickscopers. I either won or finished 2nd in like half a dozen free for all matches.

And omg I forget just how deadly the noob tube used to be. I didn't even have danger close unlocked yet and it's still almost a guaranteed kill.

Just about every COD map has three paths to traverse one end to the other. On Slums, you have two paths that go through the fountain area. And then you have the blue building/bar.

With my Mk48, I pretty much can singlehandedly take away one of those paths with what I do. Leaves my team free to drop tac inserts there and they can hold down the other two paths. Once we have the B flag, the other team is spawn trapped. And with only two paths to try and get out, they're pretty screwed. Domination is all about getting a spawn trap going and keeping it. As long as your team doesn't go too far into their spawn to flip it, it's EZ mode winning.

Yeah I ran into a group last night in the slums map. It was a iron clad bitch getting them dislodged from the laundry side of the map. I would finally break through by the mechanics shop to get dropped by a lurker. I am finally getting comfortable with some of the maps so that I can find a secondary way to drop the camper that tagged my ass.

I hate the fact that I will be in the middle of a mag dump on a guy that's using a sniper rifle and traversing his body across the head and after I pass by his head still going I hear one shot and I drop and he kills me. WTF! is up with that? :mad
 
There is a way to get me out of hard scoping that doorway. Other than breaking through one of the other two paths and flanking me.

I run flak jacket and tac mask so grenades or a noob tube won't do it.

Go into the blue building/bar through the broken wall. Crouch and go past the counter, come out the other window (hopefully its already broken so I don't hear you), then find my oblivious ass by the hood of the Hummer. Kill me easily and rush to the back (take C Dom) to get the spawn flipped so your team now controls the easier side of the blue building/bar. Of course if there's a camper actually in the bar watching the broken wall, then that's gonna be tough.
 
I will try that next time but so far that was the only time anyone camped on us that hard.

BTW what is the noob tube? The shock charge? If so then I fry a lot of fools with that. I do the shock charge then put a bouncing betty under it so they can't go prone and duck it. Kind of cheap points and my version of camping.
 
Noob tube was what it was in MW2. Then it got nerfed for Black Ops (and still is) so bad you practically have to direct impact someone in order to get a kill. After that it became the "pro pipe" since you really had to aim to get kills with it...providing that they weren't running flak jacket of course.

that happened on the regular in MW2. Didn't require softening them up either like what happened in that clip. One shot somewhere in the same zip code and you got the kill.
 
And yeah, the RPG is much stronger than the pro pipe or SMAW. I run it with my domination setup. Usually only one or two on the other team runs flak jacket and/or uses trophy systems, so it usually it pretty effective at keeping them from taking flags.

That's a great map to make the campers cry....I've had some good kills by arcing a shot from the grenade launcher from halfway across the map, and blow up that car in front of the laundry. So freaking awesome to shoot the grenade high into the air with the "PHUP" sound, then nothing...nothing....nothing....BOOM the car explodes and kills a couple of campers who were crouched down behind it, aiming into the center building with the aim button held down like the bitches they are. Followed by hearing someone crying into their mic. :laughing

You can throw a frag over the blue building if you angle it right. It drops on the other side and blows up the car.

Sometimes I get away, and sometimes I take a death from the car blowing up. It happens sooner or later on Slums, but it only happens once. But then I get right back to my spot and close that doorway off.

Yes the grenade launcher attachment for an assault rifle.

It's difficult trying to get the trajectory right to do an across-the-map kill like that. Prolly only get it right 2 out of 10 attempts, but it's so hilarious to hear those bish campers crying "WTF?!?" :laughing

They felt so safe, crouching or lying prone in some dark corner, hiding behind some obstacle, maybe in a clan with someone protecting their flank. Then a random grenade comes down from out of the sky....
 
If you're gonna camp, run flak jacket. Cold blooded to stay off target finders. And tactical mask.
 
Holy shit so funny, three guys teamed up to camp in a game with Trophy System and the Shield. They all parked in plain sight at the back of Slum, planted the Shield in the ground with the Trophy System beside it and did...nothing. Just sat there and shot anyone who came near. Pretty funny at first, then boring after 5 minutes. They did it in a 2nd game too, which made it extra boring.
 
Trophy stops all grenades including EMP.

Gotta either shoot them with your gun or hack them with a black hat.
 
God dammit. Had a helluva streak going. Match timer ran out. Was a couple more away from getting the nuclear medal.
