So all you guys can get online? When I get back to my Xbox tomorrow and try, and if that thing still just hangs up when it tried to launch the first race of the tutorial mission? There's gonna be a Cisco router getting run the fuck over with my car several times on my way to go buy a different router.
 
Keith, I've signed up for social club and have a garage - buying a house later tonight - how do I get the Elligy or whatever? Order it from the website and the price will say free or something?

Don't know anyone 75+ for the money. Highest I know is 32-ish...

Anyone know if there's a house with a garage and helipad and marina? I'm buying the $130k place down in the southwest cause it has a 6 car garage plus boat slip but I fly far more than boat - a big plus to that place is it's right across the water from the heliport.
 
All those exploits are gone now anyway, patched, you can't replay those missions anymore.

The pricing is kinda fucked up online. I bought a 6-car garage for $62000 in the boonies, but it cost me $10000 to buy an SMG, and another $9000 to buy the extended magazine for it. Retarded. It's like a pricing conspiracy by R* to sell the money packs.

Aside from that, I'm pretty well sold on the GTA:O experience. The co-op missions are fun as hell with the right people (with mics). Late last night I kept getting invites from a high-level dude to do some really hard missions and it was a blast. We had a 6-player co-op mission last night that had us assaulting the Sandy Shores airfield, stealing planes and choppers, and those of us in the choppers had to defend the airplanes from Fed choppers, culminating with those airplanes having to land in a really tight spot at the docks.

The races are pretty damn fun too. It kinda brought back that Need For Speed rush from back in the day. Just accept the fact that there will be douches that won't play fair and you can have a blast with it. I've found that as long as I can avoid the Turn 1 carnage I have a pretty good chance of placing in the Top 3.

Oh, there's a $500,000 stimulus package coming from R* over the next couple of weeks to make up for all the troubles with GTAO.
 
Yay. Finally got online. Just barely won the tutorial race. Some jerkoff tried the pit maneuver on me right at the end but I spun out across the finish line. The loading screens between things are pretty long but otherwise it's pretty fun.

Glitch. I had been fishing for submarine parts & stabbed a shark or two. Some time after I had died I was blasting around a corner north of Vinewood Hills and BAM!! shark in the road. Ran right into the thing too. Only time I've encountered that particular glitch. Oh, it was already dead too.
 
Aren't they throwing us all $500k in some "stimulus package" this month? Is it going to be harder to earn money or something?

I changed all the crew ranking "titles" to something more suitable to barf. Instead of Thug, it's Starbucks Poser now. Plus a bunch more. I imagine you've worked your way up to Icy Hot Stunna by now.
 
I have $3m banked at level 26. There's a somewhat boring and tedious glitch for infinite cash (that works exponentially better on Xbox) that I fully expect to be patched any day now. $3m is still chump change when you think about buying a Learjet ($1.6m) tank ($1.5m) or black hawk ($1.5m). Calling in mercs for $10k a pop gets expensive. I spent ~$1.3m tricking out an Adder. Takes about 2 hours of glitching to do all that. :(

Alternatively you can do survival over and over and over for a decent amount of cash and RP but it takes waaaaaaay longer.

I don't mind at all. I'm just having fun playing, and it's nice that money actually matters.

Played a few rounds of Survival with Rob last night, that was pretty fun.
