My State Farm motorcycle policy specifically states no medical coverage. My autos do have it though. Go figure.

buy a bike thats more affordable to insure! do not go without insurance. one of my technicians bought a 2003 gix 1k he dropped the ins to pl and pd hoping the finance company wouldnt find out
well within 3 days the bike was stolen it was double locked covered etc in his carport. he has the pleasure of paying off about $11k with nothig to show for it.

Do have previous experience? The chance that a new rider with no formal training lasting more than a year on a new 600cc bike is very small. The insurance company will more than likely have to pay out on a claim, so your rates are so high.

I'm 21. I have full coverage on a GS500, which has half the horsepower of the CB, and I'm still paying $1700 for full coverage+underinsured.

If you buy a house with 15% equity, do you have to maintain the same amount of insurance for the life of the loan?

Was this a rhetorical question?

If it was, it's too early for me :), if not, yes; lenders do require that you carry homeowners insurance. Usually when you are under 20% equity, they estimate the cost of taxes and property insurnace and add it to your monthly payment. They don't simply trust that you'll carry insurance.

If you're over 20% equity, you can elect to pay the insurance on your own, but I'm pretty sure that I have to fax them the declaration page of the poilicy every year.

Now, as for 19 getting a new RR. Don't do it man. Quit that job at Frys and go to school. Don't you ever watch South Park!?! Like Chef says... "There's a time and a place for everything, and that place is college."

Some of the funnest times of my life. And if you aren't a complete fuck up the whole time, you get a degree too. :thumbup Those can be useful in landing a decent job.

edit: oh yeah, being 19 doesn't suck. You might be doin it wrong. :p

I dont go to school, i dont pay rent, and i have a job that pays me 600 bucks a week. I am a loss Prevention officer at Frys Electronics. if anybody comes in i'll try and get ya a discount! it varys from product to product but its usually pretty good.

DUDE! $600.00 a week. That's a crap load of money. With no bills, how much have you saved so far?
I know for me, even with no taxes taken out, it wouldn't even cover my mortgage. Seriously, living in the Bay Area, you better find something better very soon. You're 19, believe me, 35 is just around the corner. How far is $600.00 gonna get you?

Just so you know, we're all expecting a good discount at Fry's now.
If you happen to see a group of 15-20 people walking out the door with various products, don't stare or wave at us, because it may cause suspicion. :p

Yeah, you're right, I just called to double check, it is on the car, not the bikes.

Got confused from the last time, when it was mentioned their insurance would pay towards my medical...durrrr..

yep, same here. Wow, thanks for the heads up all. GOod thing for medical through my company!

MoJO'd.

I couldn't agree more.

Get a degree bro. Don't get bogged down with bills this early in life. Don't think for a minute that creditors are on your side. They will F -- k with you the moment you miss a payment here and there. Before you know it you're swimming in bills and barely making the minimum payment. The 600 bucks a week might as well be 20 bucks because that's waht's going to be left for you to spend. I'm sure you're a responsible dude but FWIW give some thought to what radvas just said. Good Luck and hoping that whatever you decide will work out for the best. Peace :cool

Debt for toys is a sucker play that you will never get out of, start down that slippery slope and its Fingerhut and Rent To Own and Payday Cash Advance for the rest of your ghetto life.

Even with a 4 year degree, my biggest regret is not all the partying and fucking I did in school, no, it is that I did not go further with my education and did not plan my education with thought to how it would help me later in life.

Leverage those gov't plans, get your ass in school, lay the pipe, smoke the pipe, who knows, maybe you even get a degree after the 4 year party plan. Fuck Fry's, it may seem like a good deal now, but when you have rent etc to pay for that money starts to look smaller and smaller.

Yeah do you want to live at home the rest of your life and be like us on BARF at our jobs that suck ass? At 19 you need more experience in a car and shouldn't even be on a motorcycle out here unless you are Nicky Hayden. :)

man, I wish I was 19 again. i'm friggin 28 and i feel old. doh!
i pay 600 a year for full coverage on my f4i through state farm.

This is confusing the shit outta me. There are 2 insurance threads going on at the same time and two "F the police' threads too :loco
