I've heard something about how, when the belt drive was introduced at Harley, the result was the rear wheel being out of alignment with the front since the rear was kicked off to the side a little to accommodate the belt being wider than a chain. This causes speed wobbles above a certain speed..I think 75? The problem was fixed in a recent model year (either 2009 or 2010?) with a frame redesign. Anyone have more info on this? Which models and years were affected?
I would be very surprised if that were true. The front and rear on the '01 and '07 are aligned perfectly and the bike tracs strait when I take my hands off the bars. No wobbles on the '07 at all at any speed (after swaping the spokes out for cast wheels) and none now on the '01 after stiffening up the front end unless the back tire is squared off and then only rarely if the suspension is loaded.
Now the TL 1000 is a whole different story

edit: On long trips on the slab I noticed that the '07 pulled very slightly to the right. It was so slight that I only noticed it when my hands were off the bars, and on a long stretch of road. Planting my ass an inch to the right on the saddle corrected it. Once I swaped out the spokes it now tracs perfectly strait so I was thinking the wheel was not true.
