Big Sur is Open!

Awesome write up and pics! That whole area has a special place in my heart. So good to know that S. Coast Ridge and Los Burros are open. When you say Los Padres was a shit show, do you mean out near Memorial and Escondido campgrounds? And one of these days, I'm going to bring my mtb out there and see if I can ride the old road from Escondido to Arroyo Seco, there's no way you can get a moto around that gate, I checked, but I would be able to toss my mtb over it easy peasy.
 
Sounds like a great area. Where are Escondido and Memorial? They don’t show up on the map.

Can you get through from Carmel Valley and Arroyo Seca road to Naciamento Fergussun road via Indians road and Milpitas roads? The map says yes, but I thought there was a gate. Are they paved or easy gravel for a street bike?

There's no access by vehicle from CVR to Naciamento!
 
Hwy 1 is still closed down by Dolan Bridge at the North end to Limekiln Park at the south end.
 
I’ll always remember my weekend rides down Hwy 1 from San Jose to Cambria for lunch along Moonstone Drive. I’d have a burger while sitting outside, watching the ocean and then head back to my home and wife and fire up the BBQ and have a Sierra Nevada. Good times!

I used to do that 3 or 4 times every summer.
