Big truck - fast bike - GO!

So who has the small dick complex?

A guy in a truck of the style that he likes, who enjoys going fast, and maybe even moreso enjoys seeing other "toys" go really fast (like sportbikes) but most likely knows that his truck could not compete with a sportbike?

Or the guy on a sportbike who gets offended by a truck "trying to race" him, then sits and stews on an internet site with his buddies about how he "could have wasted him"?

I personally always try to get bikes to fly/wheelie/etc when I get next to them in a car/truck. I REALLY enjoy watching sportbikes go fast or wheelie.

I wonder how many of them go back to their buddies and pound their chest at how they "wasted this dumbass cage", or how they "could have" wasted them if they wanted to?

I think you guys need to rethink the "small cock complex" thing and figure out who it truly applies to in these situations.

+1:thumbup Racing a cage is weak unless it's some type of high performance sports car...but a lifted 4x4:wtf You got trolled by a cage.

I won't comment on having a beer and then riding home. Lord knows I've done it before a couple of times...never was I truly buzzed or drunk, but definitely had more in me than I'd have liked. There's probably only a handful of people on this board that can truly say they've never had a drink and ridden/driven home.

He didn't get beat, he took the sensible option and called it quits before someone got hurt.

One 10oz beer for most people, isn't even enough to raise your BAC at all, except for the few minutes after having it.

Alcohol isn't a totally linear scale - there's a threshold below which, it won't have any effect (after a few minutes) because your liver will remove it. This isn't much, mind, which is why you get drunk when you have a lot in one session. It's also why if you sip beer all day long, you could probably have 10 beers and barely get your BAC above the level if you chugged just one.

As for the truck driver, hmm, sounds like the kind of person who'll go bragging to his mates about how he dusted some guy on a bike, wheras in reality, he just has a higher stupidity level...

Hands up who's NEVER tried it on with a willing participant? And has been riding more than 6 months?

And the GSXR1000 has a 0-60 of about half that. So what is your point?
The bold didn't take...sorry.

fastest production truck in the world doing 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds

Which was essentially saying the same thing your first sentence says...

Arguable opinion.

Actually, I didn't know he wanted to race, but when he took off at full acceleration I got the "picture".

It was dark, and full accelleration through an intersection at night can be a bit of a dice throw because of gravel from the turn lanes; it can cause the rear to break loose and cause a tank slapper. Been there and done that.

Plus we were approaching other traffic and I did not want to weve around them. This guy FLEW passed a few cars that were poking along at 45-50.

Part of why I posted this story was to get the reaction I did, which was a few scoulding comments. I think that will go a lot further than me just saying "don't race" to others reading this.

The fact remains that I took off after the guy, and he flew past slow traffic, in part from me chasing him down. Should he have hit one of them, then legally I would likely not have been responsible, but karmically i would have.

Thanks to those that got my back though ;)

Over the years I have had some real fun at this pub! I've posted several stories of events that have occured there.

I also wanted to leave some details of the story out to let people's opinions fill in the holes. If you've read some of my posts you know I usually put in detail.

I'm a good rider and not trying to fluff my ego.

If you think drag racing after a beer or two is a challenge, you should certainly take it to the next level and try it with psychedelic mushrooms.

:laughing :laughing

That seemed really funny when I pictured it in my head

Actually legally you would have been responsible because you decided to chase after guy which sounds like racing on public streets. That makes you just as legally liable for any damage or deaths your actions may have incurred.

The "save it for the track" advise is a myth...
I say.....-

Save it for the proper venue...

Are you a doctor, or even really serious? If so I'd like to see that study. AFAIK, and I am not a doctor, (edit- But my sister is, and she told me triumph triples are bad! LOL! sorry had to add that after rereading.) your liver can only process alchohol at a specific rate, and it doesn't matter how much you have. i.e. one beer does affect you whether you know it or not. I know that other drugs are more exponential in leaving your body, so I might believe you, but do you have anything to back up what you're saying?

Actually you're correct. But just saying that is gonna get me flammed to a toast :laughing :laughing :laughing

Like I said, had it been out of city limits AND on the right road, that would have been to proper venue. Also day light would have helped.

The BB comment about psychedelic shrooms is great! If you take enough just getting up off the floor should earn you a gold medal:laughing

I worked with a PhD (Behavioral Phsychologist) for a year, we had offices side by side and we worked on the same unit. In school he did studies on BAC. He told me that basically for a 160 pound guy like me to reach a BAC of .10, which used to be the legal limit and what the police thought was safe, (actually it used to be as high as .12 before they lowered it to .08), I would have to drink 3 pints of beer with an alcohol content of 5.5% in one hour! Personally I'd be full at 2 pints.:shhh

Edit...so the point of the BAC is that the CA DMV chart they send you in the mail is WRONG!

The DMV sends a chart?! and it's wrong?

:confused

Man I need to get more DMV materials, but what you were saying about the alcohol sounds about right. What I was saying is that just one does affect you, whether it's 'legal' or not.

I'm not persecuting you either, I've done worse, and served my time.

Cool, if you leave now, we should see you in about 4 days. If you race him for pinks, how are you gonna get home?:teeth
