Bike Scam

How do I got about forwarding this to the right people (law enforcement, FBI, etc.)?

As much as I had fun messing with this guy, I feel that it definitely needs to be brought up.

Now that Robert has reg'd on BARF, don't they/we have his IP addy and can pass that to the authorities/agencies/whomever?

I'm pretty sure he used a bouncer to hide himself. Since he's into scamming, he'd be taking some precautions.

I almost forgot about this :laughing

On the topic of scams, my mom's business has been receiving relay calls asking for 150 chicken sandwiches within a 2 hour time frame. :rolleyes

Its nearly 2011, and with the amount of stuff posted online, do 'scammers' really think everyone is that stupid?

Unfortunately, yes. There are people who are really that naive.

To be honest the scammers have been getting better. The bike scam is more believable than a Nigerian king with $21M in locked up assets :p

It's not that they think everyone is that stupid- it's that some people ARE that stupid. They hook people every year. The stakes are high, so they only need to reel a few in, and so long as they can hook a couple every year it will continue to go on.

:thumbup

thanks for making my holidays at work more enjoyable.
