bitcoins

no way man, keep buying. I thought I had missed the boat and would never see prices this low again. This, and the coming lower lows I would assume, are accelerating my quest to become a whole bitcoiner.

Will do. Maybe I can wait till Bitcoin hits $1.59 and really get rich!:laughing

:laughing ok $1.59 is a little on the low side I admit it...feel free to back off crypto sir. May I interest you in some discounted SPY? lol

Bitcoin has dropped 45% in the last 6 months, though we've seen this before, it could go either direction, next.

it could go either direction... .

Last chance to buy above 25k?

This turd will drop well below 10k once Tether/Bitfinex fold.

Well, it's like a roller coaster, right? They had a long trip up, it'll be nice and quick going down, and it'll end right where it started, at the bottom of the hill

afm199, what did you do?!?

:teeth

I guess I won't be telling my boss to take this job and shove it today, haha

I closed out today, so probably a good time to buy now.

Congrats on closing out. Sucks for the sucker that provided exit liquidity to you.

I think the next major milestone is somewhere around 20K, word is that Michael Saylor will get margin called on some of his loans.

I lost a total of $350 on Cryptocurrency, that's enough for me. :laughing

Definitely not a ride for the feint of heart. :laughing

It's impossible to really know what the future holds for Bitcoin, much of it depends on who decides to buy in at some time in the future and how that's interpreted.

Risk penchant is moving (and will continue in this trend) toward risk aversion. Conservative and slow growth options in a high inflation market. This is the worst of all worlds for wealth protection. Those who can buy/ hold through the mess should make out ok in the LR, but BTC's nervousness isn't helping its use case right now...Re FTW as a buy/ hold, IMO.

Glad I have one. Not glad I have some $$ trapped in the market....

This. Bonds are the suck right now, BTC is the suck, and Equities are getting hammered. I'm certainly not buying bonds, but I still like equities and bought a bit today. We may be in for a down market of record descent, or not.

Agree Ernie. Also, LT Real estate holds...bonus if you can limit cash draw (or have cash flow) out of the reality. The bad: building costs may price certain uses out of markets/ returns if land holds.

Yes, on RE hold, for sure. And yes on watching the cash flow.

Berto, building costs are absolutely out of control. For years I insured my house for $145k replacement, then $245k, and I just bumped it from $425 to $475 replacement PLUS two additional policies to cover cost over run and permit added costs. It's a darn 950 square foot bungalow that I paid $100k for. I realistically expect that I'd be lucky to replace it for $450k and that's insane.

In the sixties we used to buy a semi load of merchant grade redwood for $200. Today that buys 7 4x4 redwood posts. Of course we've cut down so much old redwood that it's not longer a cheap wood to build with, it's a luxury now.
