bitcoins

This is a bitcoin thread guys :)

Yep. Unfortunately on this platform the mods don't care what the title is. They let shit posters and thread derails happen without even a mention. This thread Is about bitcoin, not financial advice or cannabis stocks. Maybe we should start a cryptocurrency thread only. But I bet the same shit will happen to that thread too.

Anyone else investing in cannabis stocks right now? The stocks are all skyrocketing out of control, much more profitable than any crypto right now. And I don't expect it to slow down anytime soon with widespread legalization of marijuana expected throughout 2018.

You should use Motif to build your own cannabis portfolio. Much cheaper and safer than trying to choose one or two stocks and hoping they're the right ones. Here is one the Motif community has already built. You can buy it as is, or modify it at any time.

damn mikey good thinking i spaced on that

aren't they making it legal nationally in canada as of 2018? if so, how is PM positioned there?

stock of pm is up 20% this year which means me to think that they are positioned well

edit: sorry for off topic

^ You are in the kitchen sink man, take a breath.

things do have a way of going off the focused topic on threads. i would have to disagree that recent posts are unrelated to the thread. The OP's thread touches upon a perceived investment, the audience (some who have lived a life) are chiming in to induce some wisdom about investments and some have a genuiene interest in alternatives to crypoto.

on post #1189:
just because you can buy a lambo with cryptocurrency doesn't mean you should. the upkeep, annual registration and insurance will make you want to sell it.

do they have one for crypto?

that seems like a scam service investing on emotions btw

In addition, dividends gained from stocks or ETFs are not subject to reinvestment. Motif pays out dividends as cash flow and reinvesting must be done manually. Manual reinvestment does incur another $9.95 transaction fee. Likewise, investors must pay a $4.95 trading fee when changing securities within a motif as well as capital gains tax for positive returns. While most brokerage houses charge transactions fees, these can add up quickly for active traders.

their website is nice though

Jeez, a tiny mention of information that could benefit everyone is worth a quick mention, seems like there's some interest in it and if need be, we can create a new thread but I thought tiny derail wouldn't hurt since it's also a discussion on "investments".

The stocks I've been buying and tracking are on the OTC market. Snapshot of the stocks I've been tracking/buying, Future Farm and Namaste both experiencing a correction right now from a rally earlier this week.

I'll get off the topic now so the rest of you can unbunch your panties.

Mofit has been around several years, and members have created hundreds of funds on it, like drones, private prisons, solar, whatever you want. It's legit. Would I put my entire savings in there? Of course not, but if I think 2-3 industries are going to do well in the short-to-mid term, I'll use Motif to play in those industries. It's better than trying to pick 1-2 stocks in those industries and hoping they're the right ones.

As for the rules about dividend reinvestment, so what, I would imagine most Motif members don't care about reinvesting dividends since they have already saved money on sales commissions. If you tried to buy the same group of stocks individually, you'd have to pay commission on each one.

Do you think your thread is a better place to discuss pot-related investments? I don't wanna piss anyone off. :)

Do you actually think "The mods" read this shit? They do when something is reported. There aren't enough mods to read every line of puke and drivel that is written in the KS>.

If you think there has been a violation of TOS, use the report button. Unless you believe that "the mods" actually are interested in reading every line posted. But they do get paid well!! lol
If you want a thread about cyrptocurrency only, title it that way and use the first post to set some rules. Otherwise, you'll get discussion on Bitcoin that is widespread.

Jees they be upset cause the topic strayed.
These new bitcoin oligarch are a grumpy bunch. Just goes to show money can't buy happiness :x

Coin base announced they will 1099 anyone that has transacted over $20k this year

they are also in beta (Jan 2018 release) for a CBA which should make self reporting easier. But you are limited to FIFO only. However transfers in and out of a wallet will still appear.

i've sent a PM to the original poster of this thread. it goes something like this,

"you started a thread named "bitcoin" a while ago. i wonder if you had a chance to catch up on it... did you intend to keep it on Bitcoin (BTC) entirely or were you interested in learning more about crytocurrency in general?

are you finding the posts educational, as the thread has deviated from BTC to ETH, XRP, BCH, LTC and XVG and to investments in general?

please give your feedback on the matter on the thread, so that we can respect what you intended the thread to focus on ..."
