Bought Another ZRX1200R.

Very cool:thumbup Very cool indeed, so all three at one time?:teeth

Just two, one at each house. For some stupid reason I sold my first one, I wont do that again. I already warned my wife that if they bring in some new ones, I'm jumping on it.

Sa-WEET!

I loved the hell out of my ZRX. If I hadn't gone to Iraq for a year, I probably never would have sold it.

Are these really thirsty?
stock i hear many get 45-55mpg!

Once you get a pipe & dive into the carbs, richen things up for power, of course it dips a lot. My last one got ~35mpg w/a pipe/pods/the works. The current one (just a minor jet kit) gets ~40mpg. Seems like I rarely ever put gas in it!

If you want more info on these then you'd ever want to read, join the National Owners group @ www.zrxoa.org -It's free!- :thumbup

Gobs of info, questions quickly answered, tech info, parts, etc.

I can get 217 miles per tank. with full muzzy and dynojet #3 jets.

proven of course.:teeth

That's a cool bikes! I almost bought one instead of the 01 ZX6R that I used to have, but the guy sold it before I made it out to look at it.

Yeah they go pretty quick. If you go to the zrxoa.org website, there's 5-8 of them for sale right now all over the USA. Prices vary from $2k-$7K for bikes w/a huge variety of mods. The high priced one is a stock 05' w/only 2K miles on it. Still a bit high priced but stock w/low miles it's virtually new.

Most are in the $3-$4K range which is the going rate for most right now...

Okay, I've been doing a "Stop Me Before I Buy a..." series in CityBike and MD

If you can count 2 articles as a "series."

Anyway, I wanted to do GSX-R750 next, but maybe Z-rex instead? It's such a loveable beast and I think I've only ridden one in a parking lot.

Any volunteers in the Bay Area want to swap bikes for a day and get professional photographs of you and your bike?

I'd happily volunteer mine, but it's down for maintenance at the moment. I just recently fired it up on 1.5 year-old+ gas & gummed up the carbs. :rolleyes

Among several things that need to be done= valves, tires/brakes, etc. Runs but sputters a bit= runs like it's got a pilot tube plugged someplace= pull carbs & rebuild. Maybe get a pipe & add jet kit....? Hmmm..... I know one of you guys must have a good-running one?

I can forward your question on to the ZRXOA Gabe if you like.

I'll bet we have enough Z-Rexers on BARF! I like to keep it local.
