Bought Another ZRX1200R.

Here's one in So-CA I think is really nice. Silver over black, the best of the paint jobs. It's one of the ZRXOA club President's 3/4 of them, w/ few miles & some tasty mods. Fly down & ride it back in a day-= $3800

I saw this bike on the OA. Love, love the color scheme. Wish I was in the market for bike -- I would have been all over this one.

For current or former ZRX owners, I've heard the valve adjustment schedule is pretty dismal, (every 4k miles). Is this true?

I have been window shopping for one since last year (non-lawson green).

No, for early years it was 7500 for the first check but it was extended to 15,000 for later bikes. General consensus is that the valve train is very stable and rarely needs adjusting. Few bikes need any change at 10,000 miles. And if an adjustment is needed it's very easy to do by just sliding the rocker over out of the way. Easy peasy.

Nice ,I'am on my second one first was red 03 full muzzy but took a rock through the radiator in Rock Springs Wyoming if you can believe that!

had to trade it in on a KTM 990 to continue a 3 week trip, now have an 02 Green with a D&D can, and no this one will not take that route ever!:laughing

This is my '03 ZRX I sold for the second time.
Bought it new, sold it about 5 years ago for a few years, bought it back, sold it this summer.
Immediatly regretted it.
Stupid ZRX.

Regarding valve adjustments, it had its first at 6500 and they were within specs.
Most of the miles were at trackdays as it was my trainer for riding the Z1.

Z1, much shorter fuse.
The power delivery was freaky alike since the Z1 has the full zoot treatment and cams that give it fun torque.

Miss that stupid ZRX. Don't remind me.

The nice thing about the Rex is the Rex community. No such thing as a stranger amongst the owners.

Stupid ZRX. Don't remind me.

Thought you guys should see this; semi-local (Reno) started making these within the last few weeks along w/other ZRX cool stuff. Upper/Lower triple clamps & shaft. Cost is ~$300 for each clamp; for those of you who want bling & have the bux:

perfect ZRX bit.
invisible due to the fairing once mounted.
Don't get me wrong, if I still had mine, I'd be all over that sum-bichy!

You can't believe how many ZRX'ers are making stuff for this bike. The one I really want it the Ti axles, swingarm pivot, & triple-clamp stem. Take some weight off, add strength. I just can't afford the $300 parts being unemployed/retired (sigh.) For now I'll just enjoy looking at all the bling.

There is so much cool stuff made for them now...

So you have like 12 of these in your garage now??
