Down another 7% today...

after its second month of trading gpro never went below $50; so almost everyone that bought in september or later and still holding has an unrealized loss.

seems likely the large majority of people that bought and holding gpro are losing on this bet so far (because out of the 6.X months since its ipo you'd be losing money if you bought in 5 of the months). a bit of a stinker imo.

gpro peaked at $98.47 on oct 7 so it's taken a 50% drawdown ($48.58 today) in 3 months. impressive volatility but as a high flying tech ipo not surprising either.

All that "hope & change" riding on their social media aspirations :laughing

NFLX seems to have a pattern of big dips followed by big rebounds. CMG often presents opportunity also.

Bet there's golden opportunity in stocks remotely tied to oil and unjustly beaten down with that whole sector.

If you believe they haven't plateau'd in popularity, as I do. I mean seriously, who raves about Chipotle anymore? Pretty played-out IMO, with a boring menu that never changes.

What I believe from seeing is that they haven't plateaued. Each one I've been to for lunch is flatout busy and again in the evenings. The competition in the fast food segment is far from healthy. They still have a lot of room to expand in NA then Europe and long term possible Asia.

Plenty of times I've resisted buying thinking the stock was too expensive only to watch it continue on to new highs year after year.

I've bought and sold and kicking myself for not riding it out.

McDonalds succeeds in other countries because people are attracted to the whole "Americana" element. That really doesn't exist with Chipotle. It's just a faux-Mexican place. It has no personality, no memorable advertising, no characters, nothing to emulate, nothing to excite children.
