Chicks on Bikes

Has anybody noticed that guys who criticize women for their looks tend to be pimply, overweight losers? Which is why men and not women doubtlessly invented alcohol...

And hey, I'm writing up a piece on this thread for City Bike...can everybody who thinks the women that attended the ride are so ugly that they don't deserve the respect anyone should expect from fellow bikers please PM me with their names and quotes?

After all, your opinions are so well-informed and inteligent you wouldn't mind making these statements in public, with your identities known, right?

That's what a grown man would do, anyway...

Cue crickets...

First off i never implied that those wemen didt deserve respect or other bs that some of you internet drama queens posted, but what ever. i pmd you with my name. and if you got any other questions feel free to ask!

dyke on bikes? or some broke looking broads!

I guess that's not so bad...

LOL! you are funny! would love to meet you in person!

Honestly, I am spectacularly appalled - I don't see women going into ride reports and trashing the guys as fat, ugly, old and dweeby...

I'm particularly shocked at the homophobia - please! Dykes on Bikes is a HUGE event and there are some pretty hot women there -- and you don't have to even be gay (just a woman) to participate in that event. A quick search on Flickr turned up these lovelies at the 2009 Dykes on Bikes ride on Market St this year:

Based on the snark, I guess it's no wonder why there's no "personals" section on BARF!

That looks like an awesome event...but I have a question...why is nobody wearing helmets?.... :|

For hugs and a coffee I assume... because we have a zero-tolerance policy regarding threats on BARF.

I imagine because the event is done at a non-brisk walking pace on a controlled route with police and barricades making the chances of anything untoward very, very low.

That being said, I was wearing a fullface helmet. And boots. And gauntlet gloves. And an underwire bra. Can't be too careful.

Why so much hostility? I mean chances are most of the guys posting in the thread "hating" were just expecting something different based on there own interpretation of "chicks on bikes". NOW totally opposite side of the story if people don't think other people are attractive what’s so bad about voicing that? Shit I’m not fat or ugly but the truth of the matter is; ppl like fat ppl! I have seen some ugly women with "hot" guys and vice versa! There were many people posted in the response as being "attractive" that MANY people would still not think are attractive I know it's really really really cliché but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've had many friends come up to me and say hey I met this woman that is sooooo hot, upon seeing the person I THINK to me ehhhhh not so much TO ME. Shit I’ve had women say that I’m a good looking guy and had others say that disagree do I get butt hurt about it?

The fact is people that came on here to post about the people in the pictures are attractive or not; were looking for that type of thing and others that did not (people having a good time on a motorcycle). You post something on an open forum and you have to ACCEPT all different type of responses. Some people will look at the photos and look at the quality of pictures taken, some will look at the bikes, and some will look at the women. If the people posted about how they hated the bikes would there be sooooo much drama about it prolly not (unless it was DUC bashing lol).

I never saw the photo's don't really have any desire to either I’m sure the people in the photos are having fun the event, was a great success, and their are people that would have liked more attractive photos.

I have a sign that hangs from my desk that says TOLERANCE means we treat each other with respect even when we disagree. I think more people need to understand that.

I think tolerance means holding your tongue when you want to say something insulting to someone regardless whether it's true or deserved--not making the other person happily tolerate your insult.

no no thats not tolerance. That might be exercising better judgment but not tolerance
