Honestly HH don't worry about it. The woman posted by LukeBz probably doesn't know how to check the tire pressure (or even how to ride). The women in ShookUp's link probably know their way around a bike, and would yell at me for not cleaning my chain on a regular basis. I know who I want to hang out with

So the thread isn't what you expected...that's because your expectations were flawed, not the thread. Round here, most of us would rather go riding with skilled women who ride well than judge women on the basis of appearance. And why bash on the author of the cool photog book, or the ride she held, or on dykes? It was her thread, she could call it whatever she wanted.

Also, hating on mods isn't gonna get you too far around here.
There are plenty of places to go ogle hot babes draped across Ducatis on the web--go find 'em instead of bitching here. Also, take a look at the terms of service and the restrictions on photos (no pron, link T&A).

But, here are some women on bikes from back in the day...I find 'em way hot.

For what it's worth I'm relatively new here and found the thread held exactly what I expected. Your clues were the inclusion of "chicks" and the exclusion of "NSFW" in the thread title.
The first part says, more likely than not, the poster is also a woman ('least in my experience these days "chick" tends to be uttered self-referentially by women), and the second part tells you everyone has their clothes on.

Much appreciated. I'm not ignorant of the prevailing mentality when it comes to guys and bikes, nor do I demonize it. Have your fun--it's just like we like to keep that sort of stuff contained to certain areas here on BARF in order to make the place a little more welcoming to more gals and more work/family friendly. Please extend a personal invite to your girlfriend to come join the board.
