Chicks on Bikes

What you don't get is that no one gives a rip that you "don't give a fuck". People who really don't care don't spend so much time trying to convince others that that's the case.

Now back to the good stuff.

Here's a photo from an ad for a side-saddle foot rest ad a while back IIRC. Her little mary-janes are resting on the item for sale. It's not quite the woman taking the bull by the horns image that's more the focus of this thread, but I think it's sort of a nice way of capturing a little bit of history.

I wouldn't have said anything if this thread wasn't so full of crybabies that didn't get the praise they had hoped for.

P.S. Pot,kettle,etc.
I am not trying to get in the last word, but we are all becoming guilty of taking the thread off topic.

Had this been the sink, then perhaps your response would have been accepted. But this is the Photos thread, and people are well within their right to post photos of women on bikes without needing to have your condescending opinion about it. If somebody asked for a specific example of, bikes in matte black for example, would you have complained? Logically speaking, there's no real difference between the two. Folks were asking for specific photos of motorcycles with specific limiting factors, which happened to be women this time around.

There's no bitching about equal rights or anything else here. That was never the concern - only photos of motos meeting the certain classification. You're bitching just for bitching, and that's a hell of an immature thing to do. Nobody asked for your fight, and it detracts from the thread in general. Get over yourself and your negative ego.

Says you. This is a discussion forum. People post pics, others discuss them.

If someone would have said a bike was ugly would you have written a long-winded diatribe about it?

Equal rights had nothing to do with anything I said, plz.

I'm bitching cause the self righteous whining is old. Dude a guy saying he was going to try to shame people in a magazine that he disagreed with on barf? Srsly, the white knight stuff has gotten way too old.

It just wouldn't be BARF without all the drama. I feel like I've just been through a custody battle.:laughing

Women can be just as shallow, rude, thoughtless and crass as the guys who posted cruel things in this thread. Women are generally judged on looks, men on success/power/confidence. Evolution baby.

Damn, some harsh comments here. :(

Who was calling Rosie and Janet Reno fugly double baggers?? Hypocrite.:x:thumbdown:laughing:p

A fat, average guy can go waddling down the street and no one cares.

Not if he was wearing a sports bra.:laughing You're saying if you see a guy's fat belly hanging out of his shirt and he has tight shorts on, you don't think, "Nasty, cover that up!" I sure as hell do.

difference is that most woman on here make those snide comments not on barf forums , but in private to each other where they can hold a private conversation about such ugly or rude things. After all they are not on here trying to impress the general public by being witty and rude. Honestly reading 90% of the barf posts lately is like reading through a juvenile case report. I now have to scan through endless amounts of useless posts to read the educated or interesting posts like the one that started this topic and ducatihony's posts.
They have a great point, i you really love motorcycling and want to see more out there enjoying it with you, then make it a more welcoming environment. I met my fiance at a barf meet, luckily she decided to attend. One of the things she said was " I usually do not attend, and have even stopped posting on barf, do to the useless, childish, and chauvinistic posts". Well gents for those of you who have there dream of meeting a woman that supports your passion, are only making your dreams less likely by chasing them away.

back to topic GOODLUCK w/sales and bringing more woman to this great hobby, with your book.

I would agree that most of the women on here have class, but certainly not all of them. I've read a couple women on here refer to men as losers. I think it has more to do with the percentage of men to women on here and I'd wager age also plays a factor.

yes agreed just because they have tits does not make them classy. As far as calling the men on here stupid that is probably about 50% true maybe more :) oh you said loser, now I don't think it is right to call someone a loser unless totally proven by there actions not because of there opinions. opinions should not be used as qualifying points towards your loser badge. after all we all have opinions and a persons opinions maybe based on lack of knowledge, there perception of given knowledge and all opinions can change over time.

Wow. I remember somebody telling me when I was younger something along of the lines of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

I've got a news flash, not every woman is a super model. Doesn't make them not human. I've known some women that weren't hawt, but turned out to be some of the most beautiful people I've met. Beauty really is so much more than skin deep, it's a shame some people don't realize that because they're really missing out.

Good for these girls for riding, and there were many cute ones in those pictures.

Seeing photos like this is a nice reminder to a few of us that not everyone pees standing up...

Never went to Sturgis back in the day, eh? :cool

Sorry for the interruption. please continue...

lol. the bolded part is the main reason i'm on barf. the drama.

guys talk shit. that's barf.

despite all the come-ons, most of us aren't here to pick up women; or at least most of the lame leghumping posts don't go anywhere.

we're neanderthals. it's not going to change anytime soon. it's like asking an alcoholic to stop drinking. you can't change our nature. we just want to swing our clubs (literally and metaphorically), brawl and drag women back to our cave (in our mercedes or supersport).

for a woman to complain that men, or more specifically our posts, are chauvinistic, rude, and childish is sort of like complaining that snow is cold and the oven is hot. true, but self evident.

if women don't like it, they don't have to stay. many choose to leave. it'd be better if they stayed, but if they don't that's okay too.

After catching up on this thread, I see we are in the same place I left it 100 posts ago.

Continue the childish back and forth....

You justify their complaint all to well, especially after posting the above.

I'm glad my wife rides, yet saddened that morons who see a girl on a bike, turn her into a piece of meat that is worth nothing more then ooogling and making idiotic comments.

Sadly 99.9% of men are chauvinistic, rude, and childish. They also hate being stereotyped as such. Yet make no effort to change it.

How ironic.

And a big THANK YOU for swooping in and saving the day by putting all the little ladies back in their place. How gallant! How sorely needed! :laughing

i'm rude, obnoxious, childish, chauvinistic. i'm a guy. i don't apologize for it.

someday, hopefully soon, you'll grow up and become a man instead of just being a guy. When that happens you just may see why the above statement is so idiotic.
