Classic movies you've never watched

I'm sure you can still find a torrent of it somewhere, but they did a good job of scrubbing the no foley audio version of The Mummy trailer with Tom Cruise

Oh I know the one you're talking about. I'm confident I could find it without resorting to a torrent. I get why they did it but I still find it funny.

Kinda like when celebrities make tweets, regret them and delete them. It's too late. Someone's already taken a screenshot.

Internet is forever! :laughing

Jurassic Park
Die Hard
Anything Batman
Fast & Furious
Plus just about all those mentioned in the OP

the only classic movie i have never watched that i want to is citizen kane. i also recently watched a couple of old movies with katherine hepburn (guess who’s coming to dinner and true grit), and fell in madly love with her. so will probably go in search of other of her movies.

There was a year in which I watched every Hitchcock movie ever made. It was a fun year and I will more than likely do it again. He repeats so many themes in his movies to make them all gel together.

"Rooster Cogburn", Katherine Hepburn was not in True Grit.

Dirty Dancing
Titanic
When Harry met Sally
Sleepless in Seattle
Moonstruck

You’re not missing much:laughing,I’ve seen them all not by choice always some chick forced me to watch them,

So far, over the many years, I have carefully negotiated my way into dodging those bullets. :laughing

Oh yeah, Avatar, another one is Avatar.

@ LB: Put Bringing Up Baby and The African Queen at the top of the Hepburn movies list.

thanks - have heard of african queen, definitely want to see it. had to look up the other one. sounds awesome. looks like it might be a movie marathon weekend.

Well, it's funny because afaik, Rooster Cogburn is the only named character that John Wayne played twice. And he played Rooster in True Grit.

(There was El Dorado and Rio Bravo, which are essentially the same movie, but I think the character names were different).

I like both True Grits, I think both are great movies.

I have not seen the Harry Potter franchise.

I watched some of one movie once, but, it didn't hold me. I think we watched it at a friends house once another time, and I fell asleep (which says nothing about the movie, I fall asleep in movies all the time).

Casablanca is a favorite. I agree with "To have and have not" vs the other Bogie/Becall movies (no, Casablanca is not a Bogie/Becall movie).

I like Gone With The Wind. The whole thing is so over the top.

I agree about Bullitt too. It's an "eh" movie with a cool car chase. Honestly, I can't say I much like most any Steve McQueen movies. Great Escape is good, but most of the others, just eh. I liked "Hunter", but it's been so long, I may be misremembering.

Nevada Smith is OK.

Anyone not see "The Searchers"?

Avatar was a great 3D experience, however, I have no intention of seeing any of the sequels.

Breakfast club
Any James dean movie( not sure why, just haven’t)
Easy rider ( not all the way through)
Xanadu

I am hostile to the idea that the Harry Potter Franchise is a classic. in 20 years, no one will know what they are.

'Cast a Giant Shadow'.

Kirk Douglas, birth of Israel. Just found it and now to schedule a date night with my wife.
