Day Trip Ideas

Driving up Sonora Pass (108) could sill be fun in a car. Streams are still flowing up there toward the pass. Plenty of reasons to stops along the road. Leave early, and you could be back in the comfort of your own bed. You could make a loop of coming back on 4... Nice lakes up there. If you wanted to try that loop, I would do 4 first thing, then take 108 back. Try Mountain View BBQ or Walker Burger on 395.

Or, pay a visit to Marshal Gold Discovery State Historic Park just north of Placerville on Hwy 49.

South Lake Tahoe? Probably a zoo this weekend.

If you're gonna do this and want to do an overnighter, I highly suggest wandering out to Bridgeport and hitting up the hotpsrings. PM me for more info.
 
Highway 1...start at Stinson...stop at Ft. Bragg.

Stay the night here...

North Cliff Hotel

Take a walk on Glass Beach.

Maybe run through Willits on your way home and stop by the Protopipe factory.

Those things are a pain. One hit and it's clogged. You unclog it and pack another. Clogged again. :rant
 
St Helena has a pretty cool hotel downtown...ride in, walk to a gourmet restaurant, get good food, walk back

Maybe there's dirt track racing in Calistoga ? same idea...ride in, walk everywhere
