Dead Space - An Xbox 360 Game ( Warning: Gorey Content)

Those freaken asteroids!!!!! That's the only spot where it took me a couple tries to get through. Freaken irritating. Still love the game though. Problem is i can't decide if i should upgrade one weapon to the max or just mess with all of them a small amount.

Anyone know what the rifle's secondary weapon is supposed to do? I find that weapon pretty weak. Its like I need to empty almost an entire clip to kill one of them. Never mind when there 3-4 of them coming at me.

It's a crowd control 360 spray. Hold down the fire button. The pulse rifle is pretty lethal once it's upgraded

You really need to upgrade your weapons to make them effective. What I did was focus on two, three weapons at the most and upgrade those weapons all the way. There are some cheats to Dead Space, I'll provide a link and you can decide if you want to use them or not.

As a matter of fact, I know this game pretty well! I was the Art Director on it.

Glad you're digging it.

You guys deserve a huge pat on the back. Fantastic game.

The Interface designer, Dino, is a good friend of mine.

Weird, the ESRB never asked us to take that trailer down.

Thanks! Yeah, my first day on this project was January of 2006. Two and a half years of looking at the worst gore for reference you can imagine.

We actually bought a goat from a butcher in San Mateo and used that for some of the shots in the front end.

lol, that's so fucking awesome! i was just saying on a 360 board that the art directors for this game must have looked at a lot of REAL gore as inspiration. confirmed! :thumbup

i love this game so much. it pains me how it's going under the radar for so many people. i've been trying to get the word out because this is a much needed breath of fresh air in the survival horror genre and should be rewarded.

unfortunately some jackass ruined the ending for me on another forum. he was like "you know my favorite thing about bioshock? at the end when ________________ - no wait that's dead space". asshole! :mad

I maxxed out the 'pistol' first, it's awesome. Rips limbs off in one-two shots everytime

i'm all about the ripper, it might be my favorite weapon in any game ever. it's just so ridiculously violent! and now that i've upgraded it it's extremely lethal.

are you guys finding that in order to significantly upgrade anything at all you have to spend loads of credits on power nodes? i'm on chapter 8 and i've probably found no more than 20-25 of them, and i spent a lot of them getting into storage rooms.

to upgrade the ripper i caved in and spent 90,000 credits on nodes.

Is it worth spending credits for all the weapons then? Or should I just save them and then buy the weapons on the 2nd play through?

Save 'em for your second playthrough.

I got through most of the game with the plasma cutter, line gun, ripper and contact beam. Didn't even use the contact beam much, but its really good for one particular boss fight.

I've probably seen you Monkey Pants. I do IT for the QA department and a lot of the rest of the building 209 at EARS.

My name's in the credits, and they tested the game on my floor, but I tried to ignore it. I didn't want to know anything about it until it was released and I could play it myself!

Looks like it uses an updated Doom3 engine?
That reminds me, I need to try this out again... got it a while back, but my system at the time couldn't handle it. Pretty sure it will now! :thumbup

Checking out the movie (Dead Space) right now, will report back.

Movie was alright, you can watch it on DVD or Blu-Ray now. Unortunately the movies graphics were nothing compared to the game, this was a bit disappointing from a visual point of view. The movie gives you the story of what happened to the USG Ishimura crew and colonists before Isaac arrives in the beginning of the game. I'd say it's worth checking it out if you like the game.

This is awesome. I'm not even a gamer, but I'm :laughing picturing a bunch of you guys standing around with cameras tearing a goat apart to make the game more realistic. :thumbup

what's up with the force gun? it doesn't seem to hurt the enemies at all.

also i discovered that you can use kinesis on a ripper blade while it's suspended in front of you to bring it closer. very useful!
