I just simi blundered on to checking Speeds programming as I opened an eye at 6:00 this morning and recalling (maybe it was you) someone said the race was Saturday.
I saw.. MotoGP..6:30 Just made it.

I'm so pissed I got to see the last three laps. The next door neighbors were having a party. I went to bed at 8:30 so I could wake up at 5:00A.M. to whatch F1 practice then whatch Assen. These f--king kids woke me up at 11p.m. then 2a.m. so once I finally got back to sleep i slept right through F1 and MotoGP

I refuse to register on speed's site for any reason.
I don't care about seeing the races live so much as I wish they would air the race properly! I get tired of "this happened while we were away....". I've actually stopped watching the speed coverage of any racing. I'll download the races, thank you very much. Then I can actually watch all 24 laps instead of the 14 or less they give me. I'm actually stepping down my subscribed channels now because of it. I'm not paying for that drivel any longer. That's going to save me about $20/mth so, thanks speed! Thanks for giving me some $ back in my pocket.

10 years ago, I went with a TV service because they carried Speed and my local cable company laughed at me when I asked for Speed.
Then, you had motorcycles, cars, cars without fenders and roofs, cars that turned right, rally cars, british touring cars, aussie touring cars, and so on and so on.
Now you have a few motorcycles, a few cars turning right and with no roofs or fenders, but mostly you have NASCAR, pre NASCAR NASCAR, post NASCAR NASCAR, past NASCAR, people talking about NASCAR AND FUCKING PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT WHAT THE OTHER FUCKING PEOPLE WERE SAYING WHEN THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT NASCAR!!!!

Me... I love Speed...
Because without them we would have shit!! We can bag on them for this and that, but they are in business to make money.. and the moto racing deal is a stretch to make that happen. They do it on a skinny budget.. with not many advertisers.. so I just thank my lucky stars they do that.
I grew up when nothing was on TV for the moto's except the occasional Wide World of Sports special. I craved my sport.. and I had to wait for Cycle News to find out anything.
We have the interweb now and tons of TV channels.. but we only have one that brings us racing on a constant basis. For that I am thankful to Speed.
Do I want more.. of course!!! But coming from almost nothing to what we have now has been a long journey.
More moto .. more moto.. Hells yes.. but if all your nascar stuff makes enough money for you to invest into the sport I love the best.. then I can deal with it.

I think that speedTV is trying, they're showing MotoGP twice on Sunday, once live (well, almost, they are delaying it a bit to put their 'wrapper' on it), and once later for the people who don't want to get up to watch it live.
The only problem is that they just don't understand the motorcycle race fans. They're trying to apply their 'nascar' treatment to it and don't seem to realize that it will never work with the motorcycle race fans.

I've had Speed since it's inception. I wish they would just quit screwing around, just create a 24-hour a day NAScrap channel, & put "everything-else" back on the "Speed Channel" like it used to be. The kicker for me was when they put on several racing game-shows (Pinks, Nascar xxxx) or something like that. 
As previously mentioned we used to see all kinds of different motor-sports: airplane racing, boat racing, all kinds of different car racing, & yes about the same amount of bike racing as we see today. Why cut those out for Nascrap? Get the best of BOTH worlds & create 2 seperate channels. We all know a "Nascar Channel" will fly....

Agreed. Personally it's too late for me anyway, I canceled the service and am not looking back. In a month I'll have saved enough for a year sub to motogp.com even though it's late in the year, and with the mess that's happening right now I'm not sure I will. DVR service alone would have cost as much as the sub.
I remember in the late '80s not finding out about GP race results til a month later sometimes.
Though there was the Sunday morning program on ESPN called MotoWorld that did a nice job rounding up all the motorcycle racing action, both road race and motocross.
Speed is friggin' great, only thing we got and they do a good job covering a tiny fringe sport such as motorcycle road racing which is probably ranked like 942nd in popularity in this country behind badminton championships and bowling.
