Do You Mountain Bike?

Have you been cooped up in the house? A good sweat may help to beat the bug.
With the exception of running little Mr. Gixxer around the block a couple of times I've been inside all friggen day.

On the bright side, we got a sick amount of ski runs in at Sugar Bowl yesterday.

Unless I'm totally dyin', I'm gonna try and get at least 1 loop (hopefully 2) at Tamarancho tomorrow. :teeth

I had a good time at Saratoga Gap, minus the crash I had where I rashed up my right leg from shin to hip. :)

Finished it out and did about 10-12 miles I'd guess. Pretty fun loop really!

Trails were great down here.

I think this recent riding in the mud has helped me. I did the easy loop of China Camp the other day and I kept it moving way faster than before. I kow see why its considered easy if you don't go down the backside. I'd like to try the backside now and see what it has to offer.

Mah new [to me] toy!
Nice Choppah! :laughing That's a lot of travel!

What Bap means by sandbagger is that my legs felt like two bags of sand after 19 miles. :cry They'll never forgive me for this I fear!

It was a gorgeous day out today, anybody who went for a ride should consider themselves lucky! Greg and John are first rate folks, I would ride with them again any day of the week, thanks you two! Srsly. :)

Steve

P.S. Mystery Blonde was riding a blue anodized original Blur frame, not one of the newer LT/4X/XC ones. She probably could kick all of our asses with one leg. Hardcore. :thumbup

Going to Tamarancho in a minute, does anyone have a map? What trail do you take back after traveling on the main trail. I remember there was a 4 way junction and not knowing where to go?

Edit:

Nice rig! :thumbup
What are the specs? Wadda ya plan on usin' her for?

05' Turner 5 spot

Marzocchi 66 fork --->> will be replaced with a Vanilla RLC 130
Romic rear shock
XT cranks, XTrear derailleur, XTR front derailleur
Avid BB7
185mm disc brakes

She's replacing my Jekyll.

Coming from hydraulic brakes the BB7s were a bit "grabbby" for me:laughing

She felt nice descending Cinderella:)

The bike feels solid!

Rear suspension is plush and controlled, it pedals and climbs decent for the amount of travel it has..

Sonny even launched her off a 6ft stump jump at JMP:thumbup

Gentlemen, I am surprised by all of your comments of concern for my appearance. I'm doing just fine with the ladies. Thanks.

Hair is manly, there is a flash on my phone's camera, and you know what they say about long toes right!?
