Thanks man! Walked out to take more detailed pics for the adjuster and found a small pool of coolant under the bike. Looks like its coming from the water pump. Also noticed brake fluid leaking out of the front master. Add the whole left side took a slide thru gravel so everything is covered in tiny nicks and scratches(parts of the frame, engine, engine covers). Have a feeling this thing is going to get totalled. Here's hoping they don't try and screw me on the payout offer!

What’s the deal with those little bells. I heard that they must be given to you by someone else?

I can't believe how lucky I got. Seems every day the swelling goes down a little and mobility goes up some so I'm not gonna complain! It could've turned out so much worse. Talking with my wife earlier today about the bell. I think that was the first time in 10+ years I went on a ride without a bell. I'm not superstitious but I can tell you right now, I'll never ride without 1 again!

Glad you're mostly ok. When I was hit, I got the biggest buck in the county, who crushed my brake lever so I was catapulted down the highway at speed.

I was lucky I was able to slow down some before I got launched over the bars by bambi. Thankfully no broken bones. Geico totalled the bike. I will say I am happy with their offer Co-Part already reached out and will be picking the bike up tomorrow. Time to start bike shopping again! arty

I always look at these things with a "what lesson is to be had here?" I can't think of any, you?

Sometimes unavoidable stuff happens!
For those cases, I'd put the lessons as:

1. Ride at a conservative speed to reduce severity of impact & slide
2. Wear lots of good gear to survive the impact and slide
