Dow 5k possible?

Best return is she sucks and fucks till 2am and then turns into a pizza and a six pack.

Started buying slowly today.. we'll see what happens, but I made the right move so far with the GE purchase :)

I'm not buying a stock without also setting a stop/trailing stop to limit losses and/or hold on to any gains. I totally agree with cycle61, there will be a bottom - and when we hit it there's going to be a frenzy to get back in just like the frenzy to get out has been hitting us for these past two weeks.

Hopefully, today was the bottom and there will be some dramatic announcement over the weekend. Something like, "the US govt will forgive all residential mortgage debts and backstop $50 trillion in credit default swaps." :)

the bottom will hit in a couple weeks, and slowly start raising again. followed by another down turn, before it goes back up. this is just the start of it.

At lunch I thought it was funny when the Dow graph was shown on the TV and it would invert and refresh ever few seconds that it looked like fancy graphics for the 2003 Dow graph.

I started buying again today. I just see some really good opportunities out there, and I want to get in now. I have like 30 years before I retire, so I know it will be up by then. :teeth

There was an interesting article on GE today. It was an eye opener. I had no idea that GE is considered a Financial Services company now. I still think it's good bet. Maybe this will force the company back to its roots rather than chasing easy profits in credit cards and finances. It's funny how Jack Welsch said he would shoot Immelt himself. The greatest American CEO takes his "executive" responsibilities rather seriously. :laughing
