Ducati Desmosedici RR | Owner Interview Thunderhill Raceway

well put.

he's basically got the prom queen and still hasn't figured out what his weenie is for while the rest of us go about our days screwing the same fat chicks with our eyes closed.

shit.

that's quite the comparison

lol yes it is

So basically everyone will hate on him out of jealousy right? Even if he was shaggin her rotten nightly, well then we'd all say man that guy must be really rich, or have a monster wang, or this or that

Most people have a real tough time giving credit were credit is due

For me, mad props to the owner for not only riding it past the local starbucks, but to take it to the track and run a respectable time :thumbup:thumbup

can i get a 2nd motion please

dead on

Tom Cruise has gotten under 2:00 so far at T-Hill on his Desmo. Didn't you hear? He did it after a special Audit.

what im really curious about is if you handed ken hill or mike earnest a desmo for about a month and see how quick of a lap time they could turn. (i know ken hill got to ride it, but to learn it is another thing)

just curious how it would compare to one of the hayden brother's turning 1.47's on his AMA rc51 a few years ago.

mason is a great guy ...and is no slouch at the track....he is still trying to tune the suspention

and id love to run 2:15s at thill

If its true that there aren't any replacement parts out for it yet, then affording isn't the problem, being shit out of luck is.

props to mason for taking his $80k bike out to the track.

does the desmo come with its own private garage team? like the ferrai enzo i think

:thumbup for setting aside you're own ego and giving credit where it is due! :thumbup to the guy that has the bike I can't even own in Tourist Trophy.

:thumbdown to anyone trying to upstage! Envy is an ugly emotion and is easy to spot.

+a bazillion. You can't win in the eyes of the critics with a bike like that. You just have to have fun with it and tell the rest of the world to fuck off. Since when is the goal in life to turn the fastest lap time? Isn't the goal to have fun? For some, having fun is walking out into the garage at night, popping a beer, turning on some tunes and just staring at that amazing bike you're gonna get to ride tomorrow. Regardless of how ham fisted that ride might be.

I agree :thumbup

Turning a fast lap is one thing, being consistant is another.

No, I do believe there are parts. I know an insurance adjuster that did a claim on one already. 67k worth of damage. :laughing

The swing arm alone was like 7k

Honestly, if you can afford that bike replacing a broken part(s) shouldnt be to much of a problem!

I give this guy props for putting that bike where it belongs, on the track, and not sitting on some stand behind some glass. I bet a great many of people that can afford that bike have it only to serve as decoration.

A video of a Desmosedici on a LOCAL track, what's not to like about that?

Oh and 2:15's at T-Hill isn't that bad a pace for a normal weekend trackday rider.

:rolleyes

+1,000,000

I was amazed it was a 2:15 the way he walked it through some corners and turned in really really early. If he cleaned up his lines, he'd probably "feel" safer and less nervous riding it around. Just shows you how much the power can make up for in time :wow :wow

:thumbup :thumbup for riding the machine as it was built to ride. Bologna would be proud!! :ride

nice bike but i'd rather buy one of just about every new 1000cc on the market for that money. and have a bike for everyday of the week.
cool vid. guys takin a chance puttin a 80k$ machine on the track

So if you could afford a ferarri, would you rather buy 10 evos or 10 stis or 10 g35s instead?

for sure i would not take a ferrari..
a F430 ferrari is gonna run you about 200K$+ new. and yea its a ferrari this and that..

but for that 200+ thousand dollars.. i can and would rather buy like 8-9 SICK ass cars.. but thats just me.

but if youre talking about a cheaper used ferrari thats like 60 or 70 grand compared to the new corvette.. i still wouldnt take it because its a used ferrari

If I could afford the Ferrari I would buy it and 8-9+ cars and bikes as well, because if you have the money to buy a Ferrari outright you should have the money to buy a bunch of more toys as well :twofinger
