sucks you have to wait so long. i took mine in and got a new tank by the following week. they were real cool about holding my bike while i get the tank coated. if i was you, i would follow up with the dealer.
My tank took only week to arrive as well. Ducati North America doesn't stock parts anymore. They get everything shipped directly from Italy. Your time frame for ordering couldn't be any worse.
Two rules of thumb to remember when it comes to ordering from Italy/Ducati. Don't expect anything to ship in August or December. Italians take their holidays seriously.

I got my bike back but the problem now is the tank only from empty holds 2.6 gallons of gas. the dealer said it was the same size 4.1 as the previous tank. I called DNA and they said the new tanks were saposed to be the same size, they called the dealer who put on the new tank to find out if they got the wrong tank. I think it might be a little bit o the run around game.
