FZ-09 vs. FZ-07

In terms of power, according to some quick google searches, they're roughly both around 115ish hp. havent peeked at torque figures, but theyre both triples. probably a couple less than the FZ's, thanks to displacement.

675cc vs 900cc, i dont see 200cc+ more power in the FZ.

the STR is a better bike. but you pay for it.

but just find a deal. i bought mine with 16 miles, on it for 8 flat. brand spankin awesomeness
the new Street Triple range is 765, vs 847 on the FZ/MT09. still something, 82cc, but nowhere near 200cc.

The new MT-09 and Stripple 765 are really close in power specs. MT is 115hp/65tq and the Stripple R is 116hp/57tq. When shopping I rode both and the Triumph was so much better in pretty much every way, but you definitely pay for it.

Yamaha may have an edge in the reliability department. Spare parts are more readily available for sure though.

Thought I'd chime in if for no other reason than to show off my new rig - 2018 MT9. Previously on a FZ8 and finding the 9 lighter and taller and frighteningly faster. Less than $10k out the door at Berkeley Yamaha

How's the suspension on the 2019? I have a 2017 and had Catalyst Reaction in San Carlos fix me up with K-Tech suspension front and back. Huge positive difference.

I also like the street triple, but gotta say I think the FZ-09 has more power, regardless of specs.. The FZ-09 is like teleportation when the throttle is fully engaged, the str has a bit of lag, smooth lag, but lag nevertheless. STR is refined, FZ-09 is hooligan heaven.
