Gas station dining

Slim Jims at 2:00 AM used to be so delicious.
Now I’m in bed before 10:00 so those days are over.
 
Well since you mentioned it I do know of a gas station/Jack in the Box combo location. I have discovered great Indian food at truck stops, not the big name ones but usually the jenky ones across the street. Those many Indian truckers hafta eat and I’m onto their secret. But a sack of gas station peanuts usually tides me over, and now I skip the Coke.

And they are just crazy nice people. A few years ago I purchased the hologram 395 sticker and must’ve dropped it as I didn’t see it in my gear or on my bike when I got home. My partner really wanted the sticker and we were getting close to closing for the season time.

I sent them an email asking if they would sell me one and mail it. A few days later a free one showed up in my mailbox. Needless to say, I always stop there when I’m in the area.
 
In a zombie apocalypse scenario, if you were locked in a gas station with no where to go, the food would probably kill you before zombies would.

But there are worse ways to go out.

If I'm on a road trip, I am a fan of a couple hot dogs off of those roller thingies and a Gatorade... If I'm not driving/riding, add a can of [insert beer].

I've always accepted Jack in the Box tacos have cocaine in the 'meat'.

Why else would we crave them so deeply when we know they are absolutely garbage?

There is a Subway inside the Chevron station in Garden Valley that I stopped at this morning. Had them make me a sandwich to eat hours later when I was way up in the hills.

Does that count?

Well sometimes you are in the clock and that means you got 20 minutes to fuel the body.
That is a Gas Station lunch to me.
