Get Well Soon Frong

how's sami doing?

marco, have you checked out the other 'frong crash details' thread in the general section? his little brother has posted there and may post some more later.....
i'd copy and paste but i am stuck on a crappy mac at work and can't get it to work. :mad

I see it's pretty easy to ruffle some people’s feathers. I feel bad enough saying anything negative on a get well thread for a friend and fellow rider but the facts are getting blown out of proportion. We should all focus on what really happened and make what ever changes we can to make sure similar incidents do not happen in the future. I had never seen a turn worker in the #2 tower. That part of the track is visible to the start and #3 towers and that seemed plenty adequate but as a result of Sammy’s incident an additional turn worker was added giving triple coverage of that part of the track. I did hear some interesting ideas about how to try to prevent this kind of thing happening again and I think that’s what people should be thinking about.

I think PTT is a great organization and I gladly volunteer my extra time at the track to help off set all the help they have given me. I have met great people and made many new friends at the track. Sammy and John included. I personally have only had the opportunity to attend PTT events but from what I have heard from other riders who I consider friends Zoom Zoom, Kegwins and many others put on awesome track days as well and I look forward to attending some of there events in the future.

As for the PM direct message I had hoped to discuss this matter with the obviously concerned people without disrespecting the nature of this thread. My most honest intentions are for the safety and the progression of Moto sports. It's something I love and will except the risk involved to participate in. I'm not really one to be posting on here all the time but after reading some of the posts and seeing were at lot of it was going it made me kind of sick. I apologize for my harsh words but stand strong on my convictions.

Sammy is a friend of mine and a friend of Michaels and Ger’s. We all feel for him and our hopes and wishes are for him to have a speedy recovery. As mike mentioned John Is really the hero here. He has done everything a true friend could. We would all be lucky to have a friend like him.

Although you might have good intentions, I have to call bullshit on you for this one. Your pm to me, was the exact same thing that you wrote in a post a few back. That is NOT trying to discuss it with people without disrespecting the nature of the thread. Especially when you write this in this thread, And in the pm to me.

If you are just talking smack then I would suggest more riding and less thinking.

Like I already said. I simply commented on something spoken in this very thread by the owner of a trackday organization that I frequent. I didn't insinuate anything regarding PTT/T-Hill. To say that I was talking smack makes me question your reading comprehension.

check the other thread for an update on sami's condition, i don't want to keep cutting and pasting...:)

From your post it sounded to me like they had the ambulance out looking for work. Obviously that would never be the case. It also seemed to me that you were insinuating that the emergency was handled incompetently compared to other organizers. I have most likely misunderstood your point and now that I have read more of this earlier post I see I didn’t know the true meaning of smack.

As christofu has stated, in there situation the emt crew was out of the trailer and in the van waiting at the pit entrance for directions were to go. His out line of the procedures for that emergency situation were exactly what went into effect the minute they knew Sami was really missing. I would think all the top organizers would do exactly the same thing giving the same circumstances.

Obviously this is not the place to argue about whose dumb or who is an ass but one thing is for sure, Fr0ng is going to have some interesting reading when he is well enough.

I plan on attending a Zoom Zoom event in the near future and hopefully you will be there and we can ride more and talk less. Until then keep it out of the dirt or at least some what upright.

There's one pretty cool thing about riding at a track day. When you are out there riding none of this bull makes any difference one way or the other. It's probly the farthest thing from ouir minds. That's why we take risk and love it!
