Jake, I wish you the very best in this upcoming endeavor/adventure. Though, it might not be the avenue I would travel, I hope that you can stay safe, healthy, and happy through this to meet your goal. If you need anything (blankets, supplies, etc.), please let us know. I can always meet you in Hayward on a weekend.

Good luck!

Yes, Good Luck OP!

First night out. Dinner was raw diced squash and broccoli with cashews, blackberries and avacado.

I see no problem finding places. Right now I am parked between InNOut, Chilis, and Holiday Inn. Nice bacause i am close enough to the inn to look like I belong there but not too close the hotel notices.

Phone and laptop charged its actually cozy in here. Raining like hell but tgat keeps the frost away. Its those cold clear windy nights I am dreading:/

7 days and misery. I am maintaining at work but barely. I am ready to call it quits. This rain and cold ass weather between storms is not as bad as not having any space to stretch out or change clothes or store a clean change of work clothes. Been looking on craigs for a small apartment. Sick for 10 days and had to go to urgent care yesterday. Got some antibiotics.

Finding a place to park/sleep is not too difficult. Keeping my windows from condensing is hard even 1/4 rolled down.

If I find an apt this next weekend I will take it. It needs to be cheap and clean. Not sure if those two are possible

That Sacramento Dodge van is awesome. Sorry to hear the car camping is not working out. If your health is suffering one week in, time to wave the white flag OP. Best of luck!

Upgrade the vehicle or accept more help

So you need 3.3% to fund a no down payment loan for a $180K home?

That's like $6000 I'm pretty sure you could do a fundme or crowdfunding page and 600 people would donate $10 each. hell I'll donate $100 right fucking now

Take the money. It's better for a lot of people than donating online or to the church etc when we know exactly where the money is going and you can host a party when all said and done.

Take the money Jake swallow that fucking pride.

I'm in for helping wherever I can Mike. You've helped me. Payback!

Is renting a room an option, seems like you could find a nice room cheaper than a crappy apartment.

Good luck!

He's in Yuba City, so maybe Oroville to North Natomas and Colusa to Penn Valley. Should be able to find something cheap and clean within ~30min, me thinks.

Im sure, but a single room will usually go cheaper than an apartment. If his goal is to save as much as possible, it might be better
