. I am starting to think this series was just what they needed because Spurs aren't as vigorous as other teams. Hope DWest is okay though. He provides stability they periodically need to change their look to opposing team.
I could live with their misfortunes in first half and I never thought they were going to lose that game last night but just recover in second half.
They still are vulnerable though to a more high-powered shooting team. I don't see how the Spurs could throw anything more at them than last night. It was valiant how the Spurs played and the officials calls were helping them for a while.
I can't get over this: Barnett and Fitz talked about how the coaches warned the team that the calls would "go against them early" so prepare themselves. Can anyone explain not only why the refs are predictably variable but that the team knew that was going to happen, IF the outcomes of games are supposed to be based on the skill, prep and talent of NBA teams?
It's very weird to contemplate, like some huge control trip on the part of the officials and management. It's disheartening to be a fan of the sport in this way.
Last note: I don't know what they are feeding JaVale, but he is playin like a tiger now..really impressed with his energy.
