Good Everyday Boots?

For an everyday boot that you can also walk a lot in, and say get off your bike and hike some, the BMW All Around boot is very nice. Long wearing, takes a nice shine if you need to, Gore-Tex, doesn't look like a MX boot. About 250.00
If you have very narrow feet, the Daytona boot comes in narrow and is very comfortable.

Those aren't boots....they're fancied up tennis shoes.

I wasn't going to bother to post, cause my criteria for foot protection, goes so far past, the price and walking around ease.

I won't wear a boot that you can push your finger in and move the shell, or bend the sole with your hands.

Seeing the posts, I just thought, why bother?
Until someone has brutal bone breakage, and lost work, healing, and possible life long, "not as good as it was" reminders of the injury damage....
They just won't think of this. They ignore the little matter of you use your feet to propel yourself through your life.
And what that is worth.

But I'm with ST guy on this, to the point I have to post a :thumbup Plus one.

So what do you wear then?

So what do you wear then?

:laughing

beat me to it

My everyday boots are redwing, 'cause I have to have the composite toe for work. I do use their two part toe protector goop and make my own shifter pad on the left one though

A model of Alpine stars that wouldn't be on the shelves now.

The important thing is,...What I said about not bending soles, or shell flexing.

They will be like ski boots.

So what do you wear then?

As far As I can tell Helimot is exclusive USA dealer of Daytona products. I seriously doubt they are distributing counterfeits.

Maybe Helmut gave me the mate's rate cause I'm such an awesome dude.

I was just joking. I don't doubt they're real or the price you paid.

A-Stars Hydro Sports. Right at that 200 buck price point, water proof (tested), and very comfortable for a sport boot. Good protection also. Not world-class, but pretty darned good. I have been wearing them every day for almost 2 years now and they are working extremely well. Revzilla has them on closeout right now...

I just thought about something... my A* leather pants have CE armor that goes all the way down the shin. If I buy a boot that's taller than the ones I currently have (plates rest right on top of the boot) am I going to run into fitment issues?

You might. The Hydro Sports should not be an issue in that regard. But I would wear the pants into the store and try it out. Road Rider carries these. Or at least they did; that is where I got mine.

Pardon my blasphemy, but I wear Corcoran field boots. Steel shank, heavy gauge leather, and a side zip for easy on/off. I work in them, ride in them, and walk in them. They can be re-soled, repaired, and are comfy to live in. Not a dedicated riding boot, but they are great for someone who can't change shoes everytime they have to go somewhere.
Under $200
Wes Siler did a piece on them on Hell for Leather a while ago.
