Goodbye RFR

yes...electricity, showers, permanent facilities. But the investors are not going to sink all that money into the track in one year. There are issues like water that need to be worked out first. These guys got, as they call it, a "train wreck". They will do their best to make it a viable track....participation and finances willing.

If the SSA is able to pull this off with them, we will be hosting trackdays (as the sole motorcycle event) since other providers have already filled their schedules. But it's going to be about 'loving RFR' in all it's redneck decadence this year...and not about luxuries :)

I wouldn't count at least one TD provider out. they can add events. I can name two right now who have no shortage of instructors or ability to set up days.

and only two since I don't know the others.

That's the best news I've heard in 2010 so far. AWESOME!!! RFR is #1 in my heart. ^_^ Will work on promoting a couple of "Double-Header Weekends" if that'll be possible with the available dates. Who needs electricity anyways? The light show in the sky from last year was plenty!
 
Well folks...GOOD NEWS!!!!

The SSA has been working hard all winter with the conservators of RFR and it will open this year! We are securing dates right now, but the idea is to have 10 weekends starting next month. We'll also do our best to keep prices down to a minimum to make it worth while for all you guys to venture over the hill and :ride

The future of RFR is going to depend on this outcome as the SSA is the only motorcycle group (so far) to secure dates. If we can show the bank that there is still interest in the track, it might not turn into a commercial warehouse site :( So help us support the track and come on out this year!!! :)

We'll post up the dates and pricing as soon as they are available.
 
This is totally UNOFFICIAL at this point...and a new twist came up...but for planning purposes, this is the first date we asked for.

omg omg omg, i must return to the "nascar bowl" that track is fooqing awesome! know the lines and the asphalt aint thaaat bad.

but its bad per track standards
