Not only does that vid look facking amazing, but some of the camera movements are :wtf

1:12 the boarder spins, the camera stays in place :wtf

2:18 the dolly across :wtf
 
I was wondering why they were heavily discounting the gopro a month ago.

The spin for this new version has been insane - so many paid shills on Twitter (who all get free ones!) I had to unfollow GoPro.

Maybe they should spend more time fixing the issues with their existing products than going the Microsoft route and just release another version and tell everyone to buy that. Ka-ching!!! Then you find a whole new bunch of problems ......

Mimicking Apple in spin, MS in product quality.

Sucky, really sucky.
 
Granted this new one looks badass, and it probably is, but issues (SOS etc) on my original HD make me think twice about blindly buying this one (as much as I want to, again it looks badass).

That form-factor is part of the GoPro brand, now recognized is MANY places around the world, a change to that will prohibit full capitalization on the marketing they already have out there, that's why the form-factor will stay the same is my guess.
