Grabbed while riding?

Well you guys won't believe this then.

A track instructor I was talking too adjusts your body position at speed. I was complaining about my bad body position that I was all crossed up so he said go ride and I'll put you in the right body position so you feel the right one. I do it all the time he said :wow

So he gave me his card and says sign up with us next time and I'll help you.

I too don't believe it. Sorry, OP. I know a tall tale when I hear one. Too many red flags. Caltran has hundreds of cameras on 880. That officer knows this. Don't think he wants his department to bear the liability if you go down. Furthermore, he is trained to stay away. Besides, it is damn near impossible for him to match your speed for that length of time with his hand off the throttle.

Hi Folks,

I was splitting (faster than I should have been) along 880S in some unusually heavy traffic during lunch time today. As I got out of the traffic I heard some sirens and horns behind me. Presuming an ambulance, I pulled from 1/2 split to #2 lane, and saw in my mirror a CHP bike. I pulled over to the right of #2 lane to let him pass. At this point, I look in my mirror and he isn't behind me anymore. "Good" I think to myself. Though I look ahead of me and don't see anyone... I turn left and see this CHP DIRECTLY next to me on the left :wow . Our legs are touching. He leans over, grabs my arm, and proceeds to yell at me (which I'll admit I did deserve).

Keep in mind while this is all happening, we are travelling, locked together, at 50mph through some reasonably heavy traffic.

I gave him the thumbs up, he released me and proceeded down the road as I exited. I didn't get a ticket, since I was not breaking the law (I was only being dumb).

Anybody had an experience like this before?
I've had a lot of female passengers on the back reach around and grab me.

Oh, wait, your experience is different. You got grabbed by a man.

Don't be a dumbshit, be grateful you got a lesson in not becoming Darwin's Darling (a different thread here). :laughing

Ride safer and stay a pretty flower, with all your petals intact. :thumbup

While I believe there are many cameras on 880 and the roadway system overall, whether Caltrans' or others', it's worth noting that I know of serious crashes at the BB toll plaza, that neither Caltrans or the CHP made much of an effort to re-wind the tape to catch the culprit. Go figure.

This story is fake.

I haven't heard one story yet about another rider touching a stranger unless it was with his boot.

I just like to hear about any conversation held at 50mph.

Mix in a CHP officer, who is exposed to more traffic danger than all of us combined, and it has no validity at all.

He was sending you a wtf message.
I too see deltas that are way to fast.

There are 3 to 4 splitting accidents every day.
Slow your roll and don't be one.

My brother and my buddies and I reach over and fuck with each other all the time. Kill switch, front brake, throttle lock cruise controls, shifter and brakes with the feet. Never did it with a cop though.

A German, Parisian and biker walk into a bar...

It was a cold winter, that means heat for a real sinner. Commute traffic on the Bay Bridge, 7PM out of SF. I was flying through lanes on my trusty steed, under the waterfalls coming from the top deck. Boy did those hurt when you hit the wall of water at 90mph. Stopped traffic on either side of me was a blur of prius's, german automobiles and cell phones. I pressed on. Half way to Yerba Buena Island, I hear a faint horn and a rumbling, rumbling, rumbling at my 4 o'clock. I mutter about some ambulance trying to get through as I pass under another waterfall of ice water. The rumble grows louder, closer, and I look over. It is a CHP on a bike, matching my speed the next lane over. As I notice him, he speeds up even more. Then it happens- he grabs ahold of a dangling pipe, swings around it, becoming airborne. "No way is this happening" I think to myself. Sure enough, his somewhat overweight, tight tan uniformed figure sails over a stopped lane of traffic and he plops down right behind me. ON MY BIKE. He wraps his strong, warm hands around my waist, and getting too close for comfort (oh wait, that's already the case), whispers in my ear. I can still smell the Grizzly chew on his breath, and perhaps... whiskey? I don't know. He whispers "Hey you flying fuck, slow the fuck down you're gonna get yourself killed you fuckin fuckin fuck." And then just as fast as he mounted my bike (and myself ((( ), he snagged another hanging pipe and swung back on his motorcycle, which was continuing to split lanes at 90mph in the next lane over. He looks over at me again and yells something. I can't quite hear him, so I give him the thumbs up and think about the steaming load in my pants now. He cups his hands over his mouth and yells again "I'm the hero you bikers deserve, but not the one you need!" With that, he pops a wheelie through the Yerba Buena tunnel, snags a rope on the other side of the bridge and is airlifted into the night by a large, black helicopter. A bolt of lightning flashes and lights up the night for an instant, and I look in the direction I last saw him and see nothing. Whoever that guy was, I'm glad he is gone. Now where was I? Oh crap am I still splitting lanes? I must have zoned out...

I see you took my advice. Much more entertaining.
