Guy Crashes Brand New Ducati Crossing DY on the Snake (Mulholland)

Ahahahahaha what an asshole.

Between fixing costs and insurance premiums if he reported it, I hope he learned his lesson on being a dickwad.

If only all dumb riders crashed solo.

Guy is obviously loaded anyway (at least compared to me lol). I think it's more important he made himself look like a dickhead in front of millions of people. :laughing

That shit talking bitch was a total douche nozzle. Regardless of DL and assholery, dude just wiped out, have some couth. Were it me he was talking all that shit to I would have broken his nose... yeah, I know it sounds like interweb toughguy crap, but it's what I would have done.

Why did he do that to his poor Duc? WHY?!?

"You got bit by the snake." I'm sad for the bike.

Its amazing how many riders on that road "cooperate" with the cameramen and crash like clockwork!

The rider made one BIG mistake - POOR throttle control.
Focus on his right hand between 01:53 to 01:54, he chopped the throttle caused the rear tire gave up on him at 01:54

Conclusion
mistake 1: 01:37 before entering the corner, had the brake hit hard.
mistake 2: 01:40 grabbed tight on handle bar, especially on his right, failed to apply 0 pressure rule.
mistake 3: 01:42 to 01:48 unsteady body position during cornering, moving back and forth.
mistake 4: 01:42 to 01:48 again, too much weight on handlebar
mistake 5: 01:47 stiff arm, especially on his left, can see the bad effect at 01:50, all the energy transferred to his upper body when bouncing happened.
mistake 6: 01:54 chopped the throttle, causing weight transferred, lost traction on the rear and upset the front.

Now you can focus on his right hand on the throttle between 01:40 to 01:54, keep playing the throttle on and off during the cornering, FATAL!

Besides that, the stupid photographer was bit annoying, "01:01 Are you from Australia or Hong Kong?"

Throttle control was terrible, but that's not why he crashed. He didn't lose the rear. He lost the front when it hit the reflector.

Chopping the throttle can cause excessive weight transfer to the front, contributing to it washing out.

01:54 he chopped the throttle, 1/10 sec later it hit the reflector another 1/10 sec later the rear tire lost traction. I will say, cut throttle was the root cause, hit the reflector was just exaggerated the problem that make the situation cannot be fixed/corrected.

Agree to disagree. He does slide the rear for a second, but it recovers before the front tucks after he hits reflector. He also is chopping the throttle at the same time, but if there was no reflector/paint, I think he'd been fine (at least until his next screw-up moments later that would've put him down).

Um...who cares. He can't even keep it on the correct side of the road. Hes got bigger problems. You've watched this video a few too many times.

Disagree

If I display my moment of stupidity like this rider did. I fully expect to be told my shit stinks in many creative ways. And I will man the fuck up and take it. Because, I know I fucked up.

I certainly won't be all, "DON'T MAKE FUN OF MEEEEE!!" and cry and get all violent, because that DOESN'T seem "tough guy" to me at all :rofl

To be honest, I don't see the difference between crossing DY or riding 70 mph at 65 mph zone, same to violate the law and endanger others who share the road.

So you can't see the risk difference between, a) speeding slightly in your own lane in the proper direction of travel with the traffic around you, and b) riding in the same lane and opposing direction as oncoming traffic? :wtf

does rmickey mouse get paid to go up there?

it seems hes got footage of that place like every fukn day week month year, wtf does he do, live in a tent up there? bikers drop off food and charge up his batteries or what? i mean its hot as fuck up here in norcal, and that guys in socal living it up in the sun all day long and looking through a video camera, holy fuck batman - what a job

He gets paid by YouTube for ads on his channel. The greater the number of views, the more he gets paid.

Who care if the rider cross the DY or not, as long as you don't kill someone or get caught by CHP. Only the rider willing to take higher risk to kill him/her-self.

Accept the fact, crossing DY for any reasons is the common practice of most riders. I guarantee you, at least 25% of riders up here (BARF) did cross the DY at least once in their life time, or riding 45mph at 35mph zone when they do cornering on canyon road.

To be honest, I don't see the difference between crossing DY or riding 70 mph at 65 mph zone, same to violate the law and endanger others who share the road.

That's cause you're just not very bright. He's not a danger to anyone but himself on the wrong side of the road? You realize this is not a closed circuit racetrack right? People come the other way. If you can't see the difference in riding on the wrong side of the road in a blind turn, and going 5 over the speed limit, please stop operating motor vehicles.
