Hospice recommendations

Thank you sir, it's appreciated. My wife and I are discussing benefits of home hospice vs. hospice in the convalescent facility.

from experience, the HHA underperforms until the very end.

I would convalesce elsewhere till the final days.

I used Vitas Hospice (IIRC) for my dad. I was very happy with their services and would wholly recommend them. My dad had congestive heart failure and some other stuff going on.

I used Bristol hospice for my mom and they were terrible. I have nothing positive to say about them. I think they're only up in the Sac/Roseville area though.

Milpitas?

They are the big one in the South Bay Area.

Here are the San Jose Region Hospice's

Weird our experience was just the opposite even in the sticks of New Mexico. I never thought there would be so much variation in Hospice care. That's a bummer.

I'm an n=1

I'm still blown away as to how much this costs

we were paying 12k a month for in home care
we're now paying 20k a month for long term care
It will increase when we have to convalesce

this is why you move your assets into a trust, when you get old.
