How Chaucy (sic) Bailey's killing relates to the killing of [4 OPD officers]

I treat police with respect (since I don't want tickets, and I realize they have a difficult job), but some are just straight up assholes. I guess it's to be expected and probably not preventable; human nature is such that any conveyance of authority (no matter how minimal) will lead to some level of douchebaggery.

FWIW, If you wish to present an argument and have your points considered, you might want to choose your words more carefully and with less insult.
If you only wish to inflame, carry on, but be warned that 13 letter words do not necessarily leave positive impressions.

I felt the same way, I was 22 before that view changed. Guess what, the cops didn't just get nice all of a sudden, I stopped being an asshole.

I think it took me just a little bit longer....I was 25 or 26 when I woke up from the Asshole coma. Although part of the reason I went to Jail the last time was for being an asshole....so...hmmm

Maybe if police misconduct was actually prosecuted in this country the average citizen would have a little more faith in our legal system. If law officers were held responsible for their actions just like an ordinary citizen I doubt you'd see as much hatred for OPD and others.

We all know police misconduct is swept under the carpet. No one knows this better than our minority populations.

It's very unfortunate for these four officers but this killing is the only kind of justice the many victims of police brutality/misconduct will ever get.

Cops should feel lucky that it's still quite rare for them to be victimized.

If that's what you need...:rolleyes

:rolleyes :rolleyes :rolleyes

Sadly, I was thinking more along the lines of your abilities, rather than my needs :(

occasional relapses are normal, not to worry :) ( ask me how I know :laughing )

Unfortunately this attitude is held by many in certain communites, it helps to perpetuate the myth that all you can do with your life is be a thug. This myth is good for the gangs and bad for everyone else.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that you (and Kabazauls) are saying;

Bad behavior is excusable if you can find fault (real or imagined) with someone else, and blame it on them

Utter BULLSHIT!

Not all cases of misconduct are by WHITE officers.
Just because you don't get to form a posse, doesn't mean it got swept under the rug.

By the way, which minority are you?

kabazauls is a long known troll around here. don't feed him.

Btw, if you use his logic, being as the cops deal with so many in Oakland who get away with many crimes, it would only be "justice" for the cops to beat others when they get the chance, right? Right?

Thanks for the warning...:rolleyes

I have the feeling that kabazaul subscribes to the theory of 'do as I say not as I do' so $2 says he won't agree with you.

^^^^ you may want to ask yourself under what circumstances are you meeting these disrespectful cops? I would bet you will state you were at your Grandmothers house fixing her porch while petting a kitten when they confronted you, ignoring your halo and being rude. Well if you were committing a crime, in the vicinity of a crime, or had just committed a crime it is no wonder your interaction with the law was not to your satisfaction.

How much did you contribute to the interaction you had?

Maybe he was on the way to see his dying mother?
