Fully agree with the first two sentences, but that doesn't mean one shouldn't be using extreme caution when their lives intertwine with a heavily flawed process. Second part there suggests that one is only allowed to recognize flaws when they have a solution for those flaws...which I find to be a flawed thought process. :p

Word, but as was pointed it, the whole thing should have really been driven by the guy she was trying to protect. It seems like splitting hairs when what's being done is the same thing, it's just that it technically matters who's doing it. I think waaaaaay more conversation should have taken place for clarification, but some officers think that communication to sort it out is kissing ass.

Ok, I thought we were on the same page with regard to the first point, I would say that with regard to the second point, there would be little need for lawyers if suspects knew and practiced keeping their mouths shut, I can see why you call it hair splitting.

Considering the police charge people with crimes who are completely innocent unless it is 100% clear I am not a suspect, in the USA I simply don't believe the police always have my best interest in mind.

You got that right, cowboy. Same here! At times I even find myself recollecting events, places, people, time, etc, reconstructing an alibi should I ever be charged. Crazy paranoia, but that's the law enforcement predicament we're in. Sad stuff.

well that was sickening to watch, a bunch of cops picking on and taunting a 13 year old girl it to taking a swing so they could cuff her and put her in jail.

nice to see a bunch of LEOs committing child abuse cause that's what that video is.

The Police don't charge. The DA charges. The police arrest on suspicion.
